I firmly believe that anyone can learn to sing beautifully. This is possible without a five-octave vocal range. Using the music that you love, I can teach you to sing the way you feel.

A former student of renowned voice teacher Taras V. Leschishin (of the Cleveland Opera Company, Boston Pops, and the Handel and Haydn Society), I can lead you to the threshold of your own mind.

Pedagogy is one of the few and rare professions that requires true vocation and conviction. I believe that teaching comes from sharing and I love to help each and every one of my students develop their own gift and understanding of music. This year marks the beginning of my 11th year of teaching and I am fascinated and humbled by everything that I have learned from all of my students!
Learning to play an instrument is a formative, fun and inclusive process for both teacher and student. I enjoy seeing my pupils progress and ultimately, finding their voice and telling their own story through music. My objective as a docent is to inspire students to develop high intrapersonal intelligence so that they may become their own best teacher.
It is my hope that my students will acquire tools that will not only help them become better musicians but that will also assist them in other areas of their lives.

I am a songwriter and composer by partial trade and I could help students write songs and original compositions that will blow their audience away. I have experience writing for videos and video games. I have also published a short book on songwriting in 30 minutes or less out on Amazon. One could expect a complete break down of melody and chords and how the words fit, or if an instrumental, how to choose what instruments to write for, what their ranges are, etc.

I specialize in beginners! No music experience necessary! I teach classical and jazz piano. I can cater to your needs, whether you want to advance really quickly or just have some fun.

Joe teaches classical and jazz piano with composition and improvisation which allows students to have fun from the start. Joe has taught over 6 years, with a variety of ages, all the way from kids to senior adults.

My approach combines knowledge of composition and music theory with skills at the keyboard. My unique approach includes learning by ear not just from the page, improvising from the beginning, etc. and other experiential exercises.

Joe has studied popular teaching techniques like Suzuki and Bastien, but also informs students about the way famous pianists of the past, like Chopin, Liszt, and Brahms would approach the instrument.

Joe moved to Nashville in 2015 where he got into the gritty details of less traditionally taught sub-genres of music like rock, funk, R&B, pop.
