There are so many colors to the human voice. Unlike most instruments, the human body does not show us what note we are playing or how the air is inhaled in to our stomach. So we end up feeling our way through, using our imagination. This is where the magic happens. In class and outside of it, muscle memory takes its natural course and we begin creating a unique and practical "navigation map" of your voice.
Whether you feel like letting out some steam, working on those high notes or designing your own sound; I am excited to meet you! I have studied (and still studying - learning is endless...) many different techniques and am very committed to sharing what I know with patience and passion.

In year 2008 I became the single youngest person to be accepted into the world renowned Speech Level Singing International teacher training and certification program. Our daughter has been taking voice lessons with Rachel since she was 8.5 years old. Rachel has a very warm, kind, and happy demeanor that instantly made our daughter comfortable during her first lesson. Rachel would come to our house every week (so convenient!) to showcase her vocal skills and pass along the knowledge to our daughter. She was always on time, professional, and, most importantly, helped educate and grow our daughter’s singing skills tremendously. Rachel has a unique blend of vocal artistry, understanding of the science behind the art (very rare trait), and ability to transfer that knowledge to her clients. We were so bummed when Rachel moved further away and could no longer do in-person lessons. Thankfully, we tried online virtual lessons via Zoom and it was perfect! I should note that this was way, way before the pandemic so it shows Rachel’s versatility with technology and her ability to teach clients online. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Rachel.
