Russell R. Germantown, TN

About Russell

My name is Russell "Rusty" R. I have been a professional guitarist for 25 years. During the past 25 years I have managed the area's largest music stores. I opened a Guitar Repair Center and became a "Certified *Fender Guitar Technician" . My experience with other musicians on stage and in the studio is without parallel. A "school" cannot duplicate real world experience. I understand the frustrations associated with finding the right person who understands how to treat you as an individual. A great instructor will not teach out of a book, they will write a book for you. A real Education in "playing guitar" is much broader than what you can learn from a book. I can help you understand the guitar in a practical and logical way, how to become a "guitar player" - not just how to ...

For the older student, or the student who already has a musical background my specialty is helping you learn the styles that have always been of most interest to you. I can also help older students gain a broad ...

My 9 year old son came from School of Rock, which was organized chaos, to now where John has implemented a real strategy for him to learn faster and to focus on reading notes. My son has retained his interest and is excelling under John's guidance. I would highly recommend John for students of all ages.
