Brad Chapman is professional, funny, able and exact in helping you achieve what you need before recording. As my vocal Pre producer, he helped me achieve what I wanted, the feel, of each song to communicate that on the recording for my audience. While I did not receive a GRAMMY nomination my CD did make the first ballot, semifinals and it received great reviews from trade magazines in the US and globally. Hey. Wonderful person to work with and I highly recommend him.

About Brett
Brett is a professional guitar player with more than 20 years of experience. Brett's music can be heard on more than 150 network and cable television shows. These include The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Office, Oprah, My Name Is Earl, King of the Hill, Access Hollywood, MTV's The Real World, Saving Grace, and Guiding Light. Brett has also composed and performed music on commercials for Wal-Mart and Pacific Gas & Electric. In addition, he regularly performs at weddings, corporate events, and restaurants.

Over the years, Brett has maintained a roster of 30 or more guitar students, ranging in age from seven to 70. The reason for his success is that Brett makes lessons fun. Regardless of your musical taste and personal goals, he teaches you what you want to learn.

*** Lesson Details ***
Brett likes to tailor lessons to the need
s and goals of the student. Beginners will likely start with a standard lesson book and grow from there. More advanced players may want to spend time learning their favorite songs, "jamming," or focusing on specific aspects of their playing such as improvisation ("soloing") or rhythm guitar. All students should expect noticeable improvement over a three-to-six-month period, and be able to transcend merely playing notes and chords, but instead learning to play songs.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, amps, music stands and lesson books

*** Travel Equipment ***
Brett can happily provide extra guitars, lesson books, and music stands if that will make it more convenient for the student. For best results, students should have a decent guitar, lesson book, and music stand at home for practicing.

*** Specialties ***
Rock, Blues, Pop, Singer-Songwriter

Brett is a fun guy to learn an instrument with. He's very easy going and builds the lessons around your interests. Since I was a total beginner, Brett started me with a lesson book, to get some basics down. When that started to get a little dry, we added some easy songs that I chose by musicians I enjoy, to keep things interesting. Then we go back to skill building with either the lesson book or exercises Brett gives me that are relevant to the music we have just learned. Each week we focus on just a few new things, to keep the lessons manageable. So there is a little bit of structure and a little bit of improvising. It's a comfortable, casual environment. All in all, Brett is a great teacher!

For audio engineering, I go over audio recording techniques and the tools & equipment needed to produce a professional sounding song.

I enjoy imparting my knowledge of music to others and I demonstrate that enthusiasm in my teaching style. I love relating what I'm teaching a student to his/her learning style. Figuring out how someone learns is a key component to my method and I'm a better instructor because of it.

Joey aka CelloJoe is an anomaly in the world of cellists.

By combining cello with beatboxing, he has created a unique genre: Classical Hip Hop.

CelloJoe records live on stage with a loop pedal and produces intricate tapestries of harmony, melody, and rhythm. His beatboxing (vocal percussion) and funky cello grooves form a rich soundscape for intelligent lyrics and his music spreads love, joy, laughter and conscious vibrations.

By beatboxing, throatsinging, singing, plucking and bowing the cello, CelloJoe can mimic many styles of music from dubstep to folk to rock to classical to hip hop.

CelloJoe is the world's first long distance musical bike touring cellist.
He has ridden his bike over 10,000 miles in the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Australia.

Sophia was so kind and helpful. I wanted to get my 7 year old Josh involved in music and figured piano would be a good instrument to learn the basics on, especially since I already have a keyboard at home. Sophia arrived for his first lesson on time and was very polite. I sat in on the lesson and Josh was comfortable for usually being shy around girls. Sophia introduced him to basic technique and showed him some of the cool things a pianist can do. She even asked him what he liked to listen to and what he would want to play in the future, giving him a personal reason to practice. I hope he continues as long time and Sophia definitely makes that seem like a possibility. I cannot recommend her enough!!
