My lessons are very adaptive and cater to your styles. While I specialize in rock, blues, and jazz, I can also help develop skills in classical and world music.

About Julian

Hi! I'm Julian. While I specialize in guitar, I also know my way around keys, bass, and a drumkit. I've been teaching guitar for about 11 years, and have spent a few years teaching out of music shops. My style is adaptive and fluid to suit a wide range of desires and skill levels, but in additio

Julian is very patient and knowledgeable! He makes learning guitar exciting by allowing the student to learn songs that they enjoy. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with him, and I would recommend him for both children and adults.

Very good teacher. Very knowgeable. Helped me a lot on just my 1st lesson.

Julian taught our 11 year old grandson to play drums during his summer vacation with us. Though time was limited, our grandson learned a lot, had a lot of fun, and left with a desire to pursue more music lessons. Julian was patient and kind, and clearly knew a lot about how to teach music.

I have been a musician for 14 years, and have been studying music theory for 6 of those years. Though I am originally classically trained, with multiple years of theory training at UGA and a music theory certificate from Brown University, I have also spent a considerable amount of time studying the music theory of all genres of music. From classical to jazz to rock to bluegrass, I love teaching the music theory of all genres. Within a couple lessons you will start to develop a deep understanding of the technicalities and mathematics behind music, and eventually you will be incorporating your theoretical knowledge into all aspects of your musicianship. Lets get started!

About Will

Hi there! I have been a musician for 14 years, and have been teaching private lessons for 5 years. I study Viola Performance and Jazz Performance at the University of Georgia, as well as play in the symphony, a string quartet, a bluegrass band, a jazz trio, and write music for a variety of these en

My daughter has been taking lessons from Will for about a year. We are lucky enough to live near Athens, so lessons take place at our home. I have been so pleased with Will. He is a great teacher - enthusiastic, kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Even though he has many students, he always remembers exactly what they were working on. He takes interest in my daughter's life and will ask her how marching band is going, or other things about school. I especially like that Will is someone that she can look up to as an example of hard work and perseverance. He's not only a great teacher, but he's just a good person, and I am so glad we found him!
Jeff R.
very impressed with Will. I'm a bit older than most students and may not have the dexterity in my fingers so Will was very understanding and helpful. I must admit that it's all a bit overwhelming but I will practice and hopefully get to a place I want to be. By the way, I'm only giving 4 stars but assume Will will get to 5 stars within the next couple of weeks. I never give 5 stars on day one.

I recently graduated from Adrian College with a Bachelor in Music Education. I am really strong in taking in feedback from vocal coaches over the years. I had three different coaches that focused on technique, style, intonation, diction and gave me many strategies for learning music. I attended many in and out of school vocal performances such as once a month singing at a bar in town any repertoire I had been working on during that time. I was in two operas as a solo ensemble member getting to learn how to work as a team in more of the group numbers. I also was the lead in our school musicals Baby and Cabaret. After graduation my first community theater show I was the lead in Rock of Ages and just got cast as the lead in Footloose. I also sang for lots of the NCAA and ACHA D1 Men and Women hockey games at Adrian College including two ESPN recorded games. I was given the opportunity as well to perform the anthem at a minor league baseball game two years ago. This experience has led me ...

Marci, is a great singing teacher. She always gives positive feedback and always takes interest in my personal life. She let me try new music, and is the one who showed me my potential, and introduced me to my favorite genre--Broadway. She is very flexible and works around my schedule.
