About Marc

I've been playing music since I was 14 years old. I studied classical guitar at State University in Buffalo, NY. and also studied guitar at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. I love just about every style of music. I mostly play Celtic, Bluegrass, American traditional, jazz, and classical. I a

He is very good with me. I'm not a very good student. I have bad habits and I'm overly sensitive to criticism, yet he has not made me feel bad at all about my playing if you want to call it that. I also have a short attention span and can't read music fluently. But his patience is much appreciated, and each week get a little better at it all. I recommend him to those trying their best to sound a little better.

I have been taking fiddle/violin lessons from Marc for a few months now, and it has been a great experience. He is very patient and keeps things fun by helping me learn pieces that I am interested in learning to play. I would highly recommend him for any instrument you are wanting to learn.

I have started hundreds of beginner students on clarinet who have advanced to a high level of performance ability. I teach basic musicianship and music theory as well as clarinet and cover classical and concert band styles. My students expand their ranges and take on higher difficulty as their lessons progress.

About Stephen

I have taught music (K-8) in a private school in Palo Alto for 16 years and have created a very successful program. I conduct 5 bands, an orchestra and a beginner string ensemble. The kids' first trumpet lesson was wonderful! Stephen was patient and has a good sense of humor. Neither of the kids have ever played the trumpet before, but by the end of their lesson they'd already made noticeable progress. We also greatly appreciate Stephen's willingness to teach the kids together. One was nervous to take lessons solo, but excited to take lessons with a friend. Stephen is the kind of instructor you always hope to find when you're looking for private lessons - knowledgeable and kind. I'm confident the kids will grow in their music skills through these lessons!

Patient and encouraging

I'm always impressed with how Jessica is patient with our 7 year old daughter and still is able to draw her out and motivate her when she is tired from school. Jessica always finds creative ways to be inspirational. Both my husband and I drive 15 miles to be able to have Jessica teach our little girl. We think she is worth it. She has been flexible and always tried her best to work within our schedule and has even driven out to our house to cover a lesson when things didn't work out in the schedule.

Wonderful teacher

Jessica is teaching piano and voice to my 10 year daughter, and I am so impressed with her skills as a teacher. She is patient, encouraging, and inspiring, and her love for both music and teaching is apparent. She is also extremely knowledgeable about music theory and uses a teaching method that's very effective and gets students actually playing music right away, without shortchanging their long term development as musicians. Jessica is a rare find, plus she comes to our house for lessons!

I can help you write songs, from finding a melody and writing lyrics, to advanced chord progressions and the theory behind choosing what chords to use and where, how to change keys, and help you expand on your ideas. I can teach you how to copyright songs and market them. Songwriting is probably my favorite part of the musical experience.

About Scott

Hi! I'm Scott. I perform with a one-man band setup I created which utilizes a modified guitar and home-made foot pedals to control a drum set, while I sing on top of it all. I have a recording studio at home, and have performed with bands as a singer, guitarist, saxophonist, bassist, percussion
