I was nervous before I arrived and excited when I left. She was nice and very patient. Her professionalism is a confidence boost at least for me it was. She’s excellent, so if you’re trying to decide on a instructor, look no further.
Hello,Im Jordan. I have experience as a performer and as a teacher,i have been a full time musician for my entire adult life.Ive been on tour all over the country,Ive taught students from age 3-83.This experience allows me to take my students in whatever direction they want to go. Some of my past students have been concerned that they may not be talented enough to reach there goals on the instrument and Im happy to say a lot of them were shocked at what they are capable of and have even exceeded their goals at times.
I teach Guitar,Bass, and Piano,I can guide you with a practical method that allows you to grow progressively based on your natural skill set, needs, and interest
I teach Virtually all genres of music, not just how to play the music, but the fundamentals that go along with it,so that you can always continue to improve,so wh
I have two sons that have been taking lessons with Jordan for 10 months. He is teaching both my sons, one the guitar and the other piano. I have used one previous instructor from takelessons.com for piano lessons and he was good. However, Jordan does not constantly reschedule lessons and I can see more progress in how fast my son is learning and his enthusiasm to learn. I am happy I switched my son who plays the piano to Jordan, whom was already teaching my other son guitar.
Jordan, is good at assessing a student’s abilities and interests and adjusting his lessons accordingly
He makes the lessons fun and challenging.
He has gone out of his way to learn about my sons and their interests, so when they were introduced to guitar and piano, they were able to learn and play music that they already enjoyed listening to
He is a gifted musician but also highly skilled at teaching. He works well with families and has a flexible schedule.
He is fair but firm with students
The highlight for me was hearing my sons have a jam session together
Jordan has a wonderful ability to relate to people. He has excellent skill and enthusiasm, making my sons WANT to learn.
I would highly recommend him as a teacher.

Jordan is amazing, he can just learn a song by ear the first time he hears it, I’ve been working with him for a little over a year and I never thought I’d be able to do that, but my ear has really started to develop. He always offers positive critique, never negative and always patient!!

Jordan is a good teacher. Talented. Patient. Smart.
My daughter responded well to him.
Hi! My name is Lin Belliveau. I have been teaching guitar, Ukulele, bass guitar and music theory for over 30 years. I am currently accepting students at my home studio and online. I have been studying music since an early age and I continue as I believe my music education should be on going. I recieved a degree in Music from Manchester Community College in 1984. Since then I have taught for various schools, churches and clubs. . Over the years I have developed my own teaching methods and I'm currently writing my own Guitar teaching method book as well as developing a website to go with it. I believe in teaching all styles of music. Students should learn the basics of note reading, chord theory and scales, so that when they leave my studio they can work, learn and grow on thier own I believe that the student and teacher should work as a
team, with one goal in mind and that is to make the student the best they can be. Each lesson will be tailor made to the student.
My 13 year old daughter is taking lessons from Lin and says “she’s a pretty cool lady. I really like her”. That’s a pretty hard compliment to get from a teenager. Lin is fun and has made learning guitar a pleasure and something my daughter looks forward every week. I would highly recommend her!

Below is my Biography, so you can get to know me a little bit more!
-- Zeynep Alpan Biography --
Turkish-American violinist, Zeynep Alpan, started studying the violin at the age of 5 as part of her music therapy treatment for her diagnosis of speech delay and Auditory Processing Disorder. Immediately after being introduced to the violin, Zeynep began to speak and following a year and a half of violin studies, she had her first solo appearance with Vivaldi’s A minor Violin Concerto, after winning the Peabody Concerto Competition.
As a soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician, Zeynep has appeared in a myriad of venues such as Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, and the Kennedy Center Concert Hall. She has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, the National Philharmonic, the Aspen Music Festival and School and the Juilliard Orchestra. She has also performed as a soloist at the Turkish American Women Leadership Event on Capitol Hill as well as at the Focus Festival: On the Air! at Lincoln Center.
Zeynep co-founded the Turkish-American Cultural Laboratory (TACL), which brings together and integrates the Turkish and American cultures through the arts. As director of this organization, Zeynep produces a multitude of events including workshops in public schools in NYC and Istanbul, commissioning new works by American and Turkish composers, and inter-disciplinary performances in the US and Turkey. Future projects include partnering with Bilkent University for an Academy for young musicians and composers in August 2020. TACL is proud to be sponsored by Turkish Airlines.
With a passion for teaching, Zeynep is also a New York Philharmonic Teaching Artist and a Morse Teaching Artist partnering with New York City Schools. She also leads the String Ensemble program at the Nord Anglia International School New York, is a teacher and mentor at the Music Advancement Program at the Juilliard School, and is on faculty at the NY Department of Education and Lincoln Center’s Audition Boot Camp.
Community outreach and service is an integral part of Zeynep’s musical life. In 2013, Zeynep co-founded the group Sonatas Stopping Starvation where she organized and ran food drives, benefit concerts and has partnered with food banks all over New York. Zeynep was also awarded the Gluck Community Service Fellowship where she played in various health care facilities in New York.
Zeynep is the first prize winner in many competitions, some of which include the Juilliard Concerto Competition, the Dorothy DeLay Competition and the National Philharmonic Competition. In 2015, Zeynep was awarded the Ataturk Youth Achievement Award by the Ataturk Society of America. Since 2017, Zeynep has been a violinist of The Montclair Orchestra. Zeynep is a graduate of the Juilliard School under the Ahmet Ertegun Scholarship (B.M. ‘17, M.M. ‘19) and will be pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts at Stony Brook University.
Aside from music, Zeynep enjoys taking business classes at Columbia University through the Barnard-Columbia-Juilliard Exchange program, drinking tea, biking, and being an avid dog lover.
My daughter had the pleasure of taking lessons with Zeynep this past summer in the PALS program in Aspen. She loved each week when it was lesson time. This is what Addison had to say, "She always would say the area I needed to work on nicely. I loved that she gave me knew things to learn at each lesson. If I didn't understand, she would keep encouraging me until I did." This was an excellent experience!
March 11, 2018
A unique and special experience! My daughter always looked forward to her sessions with Zeynep. She has been her mentor for the past two summers at the PALS program. Once after a lesson my daughter told me that she was surprised how much better she played the song after her session with Zeynep. I love the way Zeynep engages with my daughter and brings out the best in her.

Zeynep was my teacher for the PALS summer program in Aspen. Her positive attitude made my weekly lesson enjoyable. My playing improved greatly during my summer with her. She helped me become a stronger player. Watching her perform in the orchestra was inspiring.
I have been teaching music and tutoring for a few years now!
I enjoy music so much! I received my degree from the University of Arkansas Little Rock. I am also a member of the worship band at my church.
One thing that I enjoy the most, as a teacher, is seeing growth and seeing students get that “aha” moment. The most amazing thing about teaching is being able to see the joy in students as they perform. They get to be themselves. Playing an instrument or singing is raw, vulnerable and takes a lot of hard work.
Being a musician is worth it. You get to be able to express yourself in ways impossible otherwise.
Please let me help you along your journey to become the musician you dream to be.
I also mentor/ tutor students at the middle school level in the four core subjects: Math, Science, English and History. I really enjoy w
orking one on one making sure that my students are setting goals and really understanding the material they should be studying.
I would love to teach music and do a little bit of math if you would like that for your child. I can also teach English while we play instruments or sing.
Please let me know if you have any questions! Cannot wait to meet you!
I grew up in Colorado Springs actively involved in every musical activity possible! Band, choir, youth symphony, private lessons on 3 instruments. . . I couldn't get enough! It was easy for me to decide on a career path, since I was extremely passionate about music and about children. I attended the University of Northwestern--St. Paul in Minnesota, where I earned my Bachelor of Music Education. I am now working on my Master's of Music Education from Kent State University.
For three years, I taught K-4 general music and 4th/5th grade orchestra in Worthington, MN. I then moved across the globe to teach on the hospital ship the Africa Mercy with the organization Mercy Ships. On board the ship, I taught full-time Kindergarten as well as K-5 music classes. While I lived and taught on the ship, it traveled between the Canary Islands, the Repu
blic of Congo, South Africa, and Madagascar. I absolutely loved being a part of this amazing organization and teaching the incredible students from all over the world.
After 3 years abroad, I moved back to Colorado Springs and I am thrilled to be finishing my third year teaching full-time elementary classroom music. I am very excited to be back in the beautiful place where I grew up, and to spend time with my wonderful family who live in Colorado Springs and Denver.
When I teach, I strive to create a warm, caring, and exciting environment that students look forward to attending. I truly enjoy igniting a love and appreciation for music in my students, and transferring my musical passion to them as much as possible! I hope to see every student's eyes light up with joy as they dive into the wonderful world of music with me.
I am a professional performing musician, producer, and entrepreneur. I hold a National Gold Medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Classical Guitar Performance, and I have composed and produced five albums across a variety of genres, as well as three motion picture scores.
I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in December 2018, where I was a member of the Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combos, Guitar Orchestra, and Guitar Quartets.
I teach music lessons to all ages and skill levels. As a teacher, I am most focused on equipping you with the skills that you need to make music in the world - I won't teach you to play a certain song, I will teach you the fundamentals of music so that you can play ALL of the songs! By the end of lessons with me, I will send you out the door with all of the skills and knowledge necessary to teach yourself!
I teach out of my comfortable and artistic home studio in Tacoma, Washington, but frequently travel to students and clients, as well as teach via the internet.
I teach all styles of music, but some of my personal favorites include classical, rock, jazz, indie, pop, punk, alternative, hip hop, and electronic.
