Fingers or a pick? Why did you you choose electric bass over the guitar? I’ll help you understand the role of a bass guitar and show you basic techniques to those catchy fills that have been remembered for decades.

You want to make those notes shine and “mean it”. You are the band’s “anchor” and you Must listen to your bandmates (even if you are just jamming to your favorite songs).

My goal is to make you feel comfortable in your role and get the ...

I liked his encouragement and how he made music theory easy to remember. But perhaps what I remember the most is his kindness and compassion. Truly a gentle human being who wants only the best for his students and wants them to progress to the best of their ability. You would be lucky to train with him.

I started to learn the guitar roughly 6 years ago. Since I have my first guitar, I barely skipped a day of practicing and I put at least 4 hours into it every day. I know how to play quite a few popular songs, which are good songs to sing at a campfire. I taught my neighbor's kids and more than 5 of my friends how to play guitar. Last Summer in the US, I taught my campers how to play the guitar and the journey goes on this year. I have learned how to do the following pretty much every technique and I am working on the Sweep Picking. Some songs I can play: Bohemian Rhapsody, Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Time of Your Life, Californication, Nothing Else Matters, Wish You Were Here

I have been teaching cello lessons students of all ages and abilities for over 10 years. I consider myself to be a traditional teacher incorporating several Suzuki Method principals, particularly emphasizing good technique, learning the value of effort, and using music as a tool to nurture soft skills that benefit non-musical aspects of school and/or life.

Through cello lessons I strive to help students reach the following goals:
1. Achieve the ability to make beautiful music and demonstrate a mastery of technique at every level.
2. Experience joy through playing music and a sense of success and accomplishment through hard work.
3. Develop valuable skills, traits, and habits that help the student excel in other areas beyond music lessons.

"Gaw is Great!

Because my daughter is so young (6yrs old) I was especially worried that we may not be presented with an instructor who is equipped with the patience and grace it will take to successfully teach a child of her age. To my surprise Gaw was exactly what we needed. With her extensive background in music and experience with teaching young children, my daughter loves learning piano, and that’s all that I could ask for. I would recommend Gaw to anyone, young and old, who would like to learn piano."

10 Wacky Ways to Improve Your Posture for Better Violin Playing

Proper posture is essential for good violin playing. Standing or sitting up straight not only improves tone production and control, but it also prevents injury and discomfort. Many violin players, however, struggle with their posture, which can lead to poor technique and cause both short and long term injuries. Not to mention you'll end up looking like Quasimodo. Poor posture can be a result of many things, such as sitting or standing without interruption for long periods of time, lack …
