About George

Hi, my name is George. I am available to teach electric or acoustic guitar and bass either at my place or yours.

I have played both electric and acoustic guitar for 18+ now and attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA where I played with many talented individuals and learned from some of the best teachers.

Along the way I kept my bass guitar on my side and became proficient in the instrument as well.

I love playing several styles and my favorites are classic rock, hard rock, and blues.

I have taught guitar before but I found my knack for teaching by instructing Brazilian jiu-jitsu, another one of my hobbies.

I would love to teach guitar again not just because of the new knowledge I’ve attained but I just like it and learned I know how to be in tune with what a student needs at the moment.

George was so patient with me. I knew absolutely nothing about playing guitar and I learned exactly what I needed. He gave me the confidence I needed to learn the guitar.George is an amazing guitar player and I feel fortunate to have him as my instructor. I loved my lesson and can't wait for the next.

About Aidan

Hi, my name is Aidan. I'm a composer, performer, guitar instructor and band leader. I teach at my apartment in City Park or can drive to the student within the Denver area.

I am a Hampshire College music program graduate who has taught students of various ages, skills, and music preferences. I play guitar, compose, and tour with my band Freddy & the Yetis, and just spent the last three years living in Boston to study with one of Berklee's senior professors. Ive played hundreds of gigs in my life. I am also a background-checked certified member of the Music Teachers National Association.

My goal with students is to encourage both a love of music and the guitar as an instrument for personal expression. I want to see my students playing the music they enjoy as soon as possible. Every student is treated as an individual. Their needs, a

bilities and learning style are taken into consideration. I use this information to design a student specific curriculum. The experience should be fun and educational for the student.

Various openings 9am - 10pm
Prices are negotiable depending on location

I encourage students to take one or two lessons per week at a regularly scheduled time. References are available.

"Aidan has been teaching my 12-year old son guitar for the last year. He started with the basics in technique and later worked with him on music appreciation. My son really enjoyed his easy-going and attentive nature and attitude. Aidan was always punctual and respectful of our schedule. I feel my son learned a lot about music and he enjoyed working with Aidan."

Aidan is a terrific teacher!! I played professionally over 35 years ago and have not played at all since. At this point I could not play ANYTHING. He took me back through the basics and got me thinking the way I did when I was in my teens. Clearly he has the technical aspect of both music and teaching down - but what made him a great teacher to me is his love of music and guitar. Reminded me of why I loved it in the first place. Although we didn't match up on style perfectly - he embraced the music that I loved and got me back up and running - could not give him a higher recommendation!!

About Eric

Hi! I'm Eric, a Saxophonist, Woodwind-Player, Composer, Singer, and Teacher that was born and raised in Southern California. I've been playing the saxophone for over ten years now, writing music for as long as I can remember, and singing since I was in elementary school. I play for a variety of groups in Los Angeles, and sometimes perform in L.A. and surrounding areas at venues such as The LightHouse, Saint Rocke, Hotel Café, The Study, Avalon, The Mint, the Baked Potato, and more.

I keep my lessons fun, efficient, and applicable. I give students assignments to work on, not only so they don't forget what we talk about, but also so they can expand upon the concepts given in lessons, (which familiarizes them more with the information). I look forward to helping you unlock your potential!

Michael hs been a great teacher and resource. He is great with beginner guitar students like myself and has alway been a patient and enthusiastic instructor.
I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to start playing guitar, whether it be a beginner or someone who is picking it up again

I have been taking guitar lessons from Michael for a few months to a half a year now. He is an exceptional teacher who is dedicated to helping you learn the things you want to, but also willing to go through and tell you what you need to hear in order to progress as a musician.

I have been playing guitar for six years, and Michael has the expertise that is required of a good teacher to be able to help students who have just begun, and students who are much more experienced. A pleasant experience is always to be expected when you take lessons with Michael, and every week I eagerly await my lessons.
May 22, 2016
I had taken lessons with Michael and he has helped me tremendously! I am working to be a versatile guitarist and original writer. Michael has helped me learn so many different aspects and has helped me keep an open taste in different styles on guitar. I have learned theory, lead guitar techniques, finger picking, how to create and find unique chords in the corresponding key, how to organize my practicing schedules properly, and so much more. I was able to be helped with my song writing and jazz guitar because I was in jazz band and am now preparing for an audition at a music college which focuses heavily on jazz theory and guitar. I would suggest Michael to any guitarist of any level. I have never been disappointed in my lessons and I am constantly progressing.

Davin D.

Montevallo, AL 35115

About Davin

Hi there

My name is Davin Devine (yes that’s my actual name 😜) and I’m 28 years old. I was born and raised in Birmingham, AL, and in that time I’ve always participated in music in some form or fashion. When I was about 8 years old, I took up banjo lessons and started learning about reading music. When I was in middle school I was in the school band and played saxophone and that’s where I really started enjoying reading and playing music. On my own during the same time, I took up playing the guitar and taught myself how to read tablature. All through high school I continued in the school band and at the same time formed my own and participated in others local rock bands. We played shows around alabaster and Hoover. After I graduated from high school I moved to Nashville and busked for money while playing with other groups at open mic ni

ghts and even making a few recordings with them. I traveled to Texas and played in another group that traveled around Texas playing covers and got a few of my first big gigs. Faced with finance troubles, I moved back to my hometown and decided to pursue my passion part time as a teacher in which time I have continued my studies into the practical knowledge of music theory.

Idol Top 10 Season 15
"Can't say enough good stuff about Miss Fawn. I wouldn't have made top 10 on American Idol without her guidance. Brilliant vocal coach. Hit songwriter. Pia
no perfection. With her at the helm, trust me, you will grow! You will become not good, not great, but spectacular! What else could you ask for? She's got the AGT, The Voice and Idol hook up! Not only is Fawn a talent in her own right and a true professional, she helps other further their own musical careers by putting you in front of the right people. I enjoy my lessons with her and I am also a big fan!"
"Very excited to work with Denise. She is spot on with her comments, and tries to find ways to express what she thinks needs improvement, encouraging, mot
ivating and honest. Looking forward to next week!"
"3 lessons in and I’ve already learned a lot! Great teacher!"
"I took voice lessons from Mary Ann at Groovin' On Music from 2007-2009, and they were worth every penny. I was a background singer in a worship team at c
hurch and I was shy to sing lead because I didn't know how to sing vibrato or navigate the falsetto break in my range. I had always wanted to take lessons as a kid but never was able to until adulthood. I was a bit nervous when I first came in, but Mary Ann put me at ease. She is a beautiful spirit who inspired me, challenged me, and made me laugh. She is not only amazingly talented and experienced, but she genuinely loves people and makes the lessons an enjoyable experience. Mary Ann definitely took my voice to the next level. Many people have commented on the difference in my voice and my confidence level before and after the lessons. I now sing lead, am at home with my vibrato and know how to use all the notes in my range. I would absolutely recommend Mary Ann as a voice coach for people of all ages!"
"Alyssa is an upbeat, encouraging, and patient teacher. Her own singing voice is beautiful, and she sings very professionally in a wide range of genres. Sh
e is reliable, pleasant, sincere, and capable. She gives each student her full attention and tailors her lessons to each one's particular talent (as well as where they're in need of improvement). I recommend Alyssa very highly... She's delightful!"
"I have my degree in music from Northwestern University, have been teaching for 2 decades, and I can say with confidence that Dan Leali is one of the best
music teachers I have ever come across. He is not only an amazing seasoned performer, he is also extremely knowledgeable about subject matter and curriculum. Many drum teachers are self-taught or do not hold degrees in music. Dan has his degree in music from a great university and has played with some of the top musicians in the business.

He is a great communicator and instills confidence in his students. I have taken lessons from him, sent students to him and witnessed him teaching my own family members.

He is the only teacher I refer anyone to! Hands-down, he’s the best."
"excellent piano teacher

My boys starting taking piano lessons with Barbara D. when they were about 7 years old. She is an amazing teacher and always make
s them feel special. She is so upbeat and enthusiastic, yet very patient with kids and their needs and moods. She will find out what kind of music they like or want to learn and then find that music at their appropriate level. It is a wonderful motivator for the kids and keeps the lessons so interesting and exciting for them. Barbara D. is a very skilled, talented artist in every way and an amazing teacher!

"Rachel was patient and had a great sense of humor! It immediately put me at ease. Would definitely recommend!"
"She is awesome, I've learned a lot from her and I'm looking forward to keep learning. I have always wanted to learn piano and she explains everything so c
lear and easy. Thanks, Tammye!"

3 Things Every Guitarist Needs To Know About Songwriting

By Suzy S.

Writing a song can be one of the most satisfying experiences you'll have with your instrument! Guitar teacher Samuel B. shares three things every guitarist should know about writing a song on guitar... As a teacher, having you develop the ability to express yourself is my number one goal. Playing guitar solos is one form of personal expression. Writing songs is another. If you've never written a song, you might think of songwriting as something that only a few special people can do. In real …
