Lillian is patient, kind, positive, and careful to combine theory with practical teaching. As an older student, just learning piano, I learned more from her in one lesson than the five lessons I took before. She is excellent. I have hope now that I can learn piano.

The piano lesson is for my daughter Laetitia. I never stayed with her when she had her piano class so I can't make any comment on Susanna. So far my daughter is still interested on playing piano and she practice is every day with fun. Susanna told my husband that she will buy some new music book for her so I guess Laetitia really enjoy her piano class.

Lindsey is a very capable teacher who is a pleasure to work with.

Lindsey has an excellent manner of communicating her teaching method and applying it effectively. I really appreciate her level of patience with me and how open she is to experiment with different exercises and songs as well as always keeping in mind the goals I have for the lessons (extended vocal range and learning how to "belt out a song"). I am very pleased with having her as my voice instructor and would definitely recommend her to anyone hoping to increase their singing capabilities.

I am a fourth grader. I started taking violin lessons with Ms. Milena around July of last year.

With Ms. Milena, playing the violin has been fun and also a great learning experience. She is very passionate and knowledgeable about music. She goes with my pace. When I have a weak spot, she always patiently help me tackle it with useful strategies and exercises. Ms. Milena can describe a difficult piece vividly which helps me visualize and feel the music. She also teaches me to be self-directed.

I would recommend Ms. Milena to anyone.

I started taking violin lessons from Mrs. Milena during my first year in middle school. We tried out one teacher before meeting Mrs. Milena but my brother and I did not like her teaching style. However, after meeting Mrs. Milena we both agreed that we wanted her as our teacher. She easily picked up where our previous teacher left off and helped us improve so that we were both capable of playing high level compositions. I would not be the violinist I am now without her.

Mrs. Milena is capable of teaching both new and advanced level students. She really connects with her students and adjusts her lessons to suit the individual. She always encourages her students to just do their best and it is a great experience learning from her.

For those who want to enroll their child I highly recommend Mrs. Milena because she not only works really well with children but she also keeps the parents informed on their progress.

Mrs. Milena is an amazing teacher and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented teacher in both teaching and in music. She is a very optimistic person and learning from her has been a joy.

Mrs. Milena was the teacher that made me who I am today. When I first started violin I was very shy and didn't have what it took to be a good violinist. Then I started to work with Mrs. Milena and now thanks to her I made 1st chair at regionals my 6th grade year. I've been in middle school for my third year now and I'm our 1st chair violinist/concertmaster for the third year in a row. I can play high level songs and have gained recognition from other teachers and students everywhere. I've worked with tons of other teachers that have impressive accomplishments that are very good of violinists themselves, but nobody could teach the vibrance and life that music requires. She put in much more work than she needs to, and when there were important events and concerts, she would always show up and cheer for me from the seats.

Learning to Read Music: An Introduction for Singers
Learning to read music can be a daunting task for beginner singers! Here, Ann Arbor, MI voice teacher Elaina R. shows you how to get started...   Not to point out the obvious, but as singers, we don’t have keys on our instrument. We don’t have buttons that emit the same pitch every time they are pressed. Most of us don’t have perfect pitch, either. This makes learning to read music quite different for singers than for other musicians. Not only do singers deal with learning how
The Evolution of the Piano: From the Harpsichord to the Modern Grand
Whether you are just starting out or your piano learning days are far behind you, you may have often wondered how the modern piano came to be. The piano is an amazing stringed instrument that uses percussion to create a full, resonating sound. Italian harpsichord maker Bartolomeo di Francesco Cristofori (1655-1731) invented the first piano ar
