I have had the pleasure of studying and working with some of the finest musicians. Each day brings new and exciting challenges to be met. Andrew is a great teacher! He is really patient and easy going. He makes my daughter feel really comfortable during the lessons which I think is very important for a beginner. I would definitely recommend Andrew to everyone!

Andrew naturally has an ear and talent for music, always has. His passion for music started self taught and advanced throughout his professional career. His music range is wide spread stylistically, thus as a teacher he can focus on many different areas with each of his students. His improvisation skills are effortless both on stage and in our jam sessions. Andrew has a way of teaching that makes learning music very approachable. He is patient and well thought out about the process. Always fun to watch on stage and a joy to work with.

Andrew is a fantastic teacher!
He will go at your pace and make sure he is focusing on what you really want to accomplish. not to mention he is an actual gigging musician so he plays a lot. If you want to play in a band or play with a group he has feedback on that information for you as well!
I personally don't think you could go wrong with a teacher like Andrew.

A Great Learning Experience

Learning with Matt has given me much confidence in my singing. His excellent teaching skills gives me more confidence to perform, audition, and has indeed improved my vocal chords. Aside from just learning how to improve my singing, Matt has really been a great help on providing me information that I needed to know about Musical Theater, which I really appreciate his complete advice. With such a positive attitude, he thoroughly explains how to warm up the voice and pronounce every consonant/vowel. I, myself, can hear the difference when I perform songs as well as my family and friends. He is a tremendous teacher and I recommend him to anyone who wants to learn how to improve their singing and confidence.

Working with Matthew B.

Mr. Matthew B. is a very helpful and knowledgeable instructor. He goes through the passages of each lesson with me, points at the most complex areas and asks me to focus the practice on those when doing exercises. I am pleased to have Mr. Mathew B. as my piano instructor.

Mary is very knowledgeable and personable. She gives excellent instruction and gentle correction in a way that makes you want to do your best in every aspect of the learning process. Mary is also very attentive to your needs and your development as a student. She knows when to allow for the errors that a beginner like myself will make, and when to present challenges that will push you, and show you that your skill and talent are growing. She also gives homework assignments that will help you grow your talent when you're in between lessons, which I really appreciate. I absolutely recommend Mary to anyone wishing to take music lessons!

John S.

Toms River, NJ

About John

I am a multi-instrumentalist who has taught for 41 years. I have had both Zakke W and two other rock stars in lessons,. Further, I had a Grammy nominee and a well known comedian and Hollywood Actress, as well as countless music school scholarship students. Many of my students have embarked on performing careers as well as teaching at the school and college level. The lessons are laid back, friendly and above all- helpful. We will study and work on the music of your choice, but, with a slight twist from the traditional, that I incorporate not just playing the song, but to get you the student ready to be able to work out the songs harmony, theory, notation and phrasing on your own. I feel this must be done in order to get a student to be able to perform with others. Lessons should always be ...

The most attentive and knowledgeable music teacher I have ever had. Very aware of student improvements and yet able to make suggestions where they are needed, without any kind of harsh criticism.

John provides all the information - both theory and performance in a very laid back way which leaves the student feeling stress free. He is very realistic as to the expectations of what the student's abilities are now and when "tentatively" they can expect to achieve a level of playing.

He does his job. It is up to me to do mine! Having fun and learning in a very short time. Not easy - but practice, practice, practice.
