I want to focus on getting students to learn how to play by ear, giving them the learning tools necessary to be able to play the favorite songs they hear without having to find the correct tab if it's even available. Some things especially solos might be to difficult even for advanced players but almost anyone can find that root note after spending some time with me! I always want to make my lessons as fun for the student as possible by helping them learn their favorite songs, even songs that don't have guitar. I've found playing along to Rap & Hip Hop songs are so much fun to play along to, and a perfect way to practice fine tuning the ability to learn by ear.

About Brandon

Creating a fun environment and showing student it’s not very difficult to learn a song by listening and applying the learning tools to help break down a song by sections. I will also teach and show how you can add your own guitar parts that sometimes makes the song sound even better, this seems to

I am so glad that I took lessons from Ashley! I had been playing for about a year and a half when I started my lessons in January of 2018. We had hour-long sessions once a week for about a year, but the time always felt too short! We usually learned about a song a week, sometimes more and sometimes less depending on how quickly I picked it up. Since I could already read sheet music, I mostly learned by ear, and Ashley did a wonderful job with slowing the songs down and helping me repeat them until I could play by memory. Now, I'm really glad I learned through ear training because it's an invaluable skill to have! I also really enjoyed playing harmony with her -- so cool. She always had songs hand-picked for me to learn, or, if there was a song that I really wanted to be able to play, she would help me with that one. Ashley is the best -- such a sweet, patient, and encouraging teacher! She even offered to have me play with her on stage! If you have the chance, take lessons from Ashley!!!

Gospel/Christian music is very personal music. It is also very creative music and takes skill to accomplish. Listen to it. Listen to all the different styles within the style. Listen to the different eras. Listen to the piano licks and the bass line and the background vocals. Listen to the choirs. Listen to the ad libs. As libs are a big part of Gospel music. We work to understand all these things and more of what makes up Gospel music.

Leah is a stellar instructor. I was simply expecting some tips on vocal technique, and she exceeded my expectations. She is able to meet you at your level, understand the craft as you understand it and then tell you need next to improve.

Moreover, she’s incredibly humble. Despite clearly being skilled at singing, she never makes it a point to come off as unapproachable. She innately understands the importance of the learning spirit and how to create a space that fosters it. If you were on the fence about choosing Leah as an instructor, there’s no need to be.

Stan is very knowledgeable about singing, and he teaches more than just voice lessons. It seems like he looks for the best in you as an artist, and try to take it to another level. I'm a new student of his, and it's been great so far. Looking forward to the weekly lessons.

"My son is 16 and has been taking lessons with sandra since November of 2014. Sandra not only focuses on singing techniques to build your support and vocal strength, but also helps with understanding sheet music and acting within a musical piece. She is extremely personable and friendly. She has helped my son expand his vocal range, and she taught him vocal techniques to use to develop his voice. My son does musical theatre, and Sandra has taken a significant amount time during each lesson to help him sing the songs comfortably and understand the acting stand point in each song. She is a great teacher for him."

"Randy was the most gracious voice coach I've ever met with! Not only was he encouraging, he truly cared about my success and enjoyment as a speaker. He even went over 10-15 minutes on a couple appointment times to make sure I was all squared away. Wonderful person and WONDERFUL at what he does. Great sound proof studio too with high tech equipment. Loved that he gave me his input and help me edit my speech/memorize it. Also gave me tips on my tone of voice, etc. thank you for everything Randy!"

"Melissa is not only a gifted voice teacher, but an amazing singer herself. She is also very personable and reliable. I can always count on her to help me in a pinch, before an audition to help me with a particular song, or even help me pick out a song that is appropriate for the show for which I am auditioning. She has a large breadth of musical knowledge and experience, which makes me feel confident, and trust the notes she gives during the lesson.
Melissa's techniques with breathing and execution the best I have ever received, as a trained actor myself. Although she is extremely professional, Melissa also finds ways in making the lesson fun. I highly recommend her for both kids and adults and hope you get as much out of her classes as I have!"
