Experienced violist who has been playing for 14 years. I have only had young students in the past, but I am willing to teach adults as well. If you're a beginner, I would love to help you get started and introduce you into all the wonderful music for the violin and viola! I will take the time to find music you specifically enjoy and adjust to your tastes. I care very much about helping you find an ear for music and finding your favorite styles! We'll be learning about technique, intonation, note reading, and of course, music theory. Please contact me if you'd like to see what I can teach you!

I compose music for films, video games, and for all kinds of genres. My favorite is for epic orchestras. I have developed a very simplified version of music theory that I believe anyone can understand. I always make things simple and understandable. I was in Prague last year recording the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra on an upcoming album. So I really know what I'm talking about in this area.

About Richard

My goal is to help students ENJOY the piano by finding ways to make it easier and doable. I have a very useful approach in helping students become self sufficient to sight read very well, to see patterns, understand music theory to either help them play well, or to even create their own music(I co

Music theory is part of every lesson I teach! There are two levels of the way I teach this...
First we learn theory that is used in common practice and in performance. This is useful theory.

Secondly, we fill in the gaps and continue with advanced theory, this is theory that you will more than likely use to compose/write music.

About Nick

I am a 29 year old, energetic teacher of almost any instrument, with my main instrument being trumpet. I have my masters in jazz studies from The University of North Texas, near Dallas Texas. I also have been teaching since 2008! As a performing musician in the DFW area my goal is to help stude

My son started taking lessons a year ago, Nick used his strengths to help him learn. He has become inspired with the trumpet, and started to play a little every day.

I am taking online lessons with Nick, and he has helped me to understand what it is to be a musician. Before I started taking lessons, if someone asked me to play something, I was not able to do it without getting a sheet of music out and struggling A LOT. Now I am starting to be able to play the music I want to play, both by ear and reading. He teaches much more than just playing band music. I wish I could take more than a few lessons this summer.

I have a 8 year old daughter and 10 year old son both have been learning Piano for the last 2 years. Nick takes a holistic approach in teaching piano as opposed to sticking with the book. It includes creating a passion about listening different music, learning scales and chords outside of the book. I have recommended Nick to all my friends

Luther stays where I’m at and then helps me go the next step. That is useful for consistent gradual progress without the frustrations of moving either too slow or too fast (I am a beginning tenor saxophone player). Nice interpersonal style, patient and easy going, while methodical.
Geoff K.
I think Luther is great. He works with my 10-year old son on piano, singing and even trumpet and violin as needed. My son has to work hard to progress, and Luther customizes the lesson plan for him and seems to understand him well. I'm really excited about them working together.

I instruct aspiring vocalists, actors and musicians the foundation of their craft; but without the art of PERFORMING, I believe that all the technical knowledge in the world will never catapult them into a successful realm. My Academy is predicated on performance, in whatever genre the student aspires to master. I tell each student, however lofty their career expectations, that all we study will be predicated not only on performance, but on FUN. For all the above arts are under the guise of entertainment. To give a masterful performance IS to be entertaining. An audience looks to entertainment to provide happiness and fun. We tie all of these characteristics together in our journey to excel at Musical Performance.

About Glenn

I have been active in the entertainment industry since the age of 12, when I gave my first professional performance. Prior to that I was already being introduced to music with years of guitar, and then vocal instruction. I do not remember a time of my life when I was not singing somewhere; in the h

"great teacher for popular acoustic guitar

Ian is a no nonsense well organized guy. He taught me using exercises he wrote out on paper mostly in tabulature form. He used a metronome from the first lesson and always introduced a music theory concept such as rhythm, pentatonic scales, and chord transposition. He will not move past any exercise until you can demonstrate proficiency so there is no choice but to draw your own conclusion that you need to practice more if you want to progress. He teaches out of his local all ages music venue, or will travel to your home."

"Celine is a wonderful piano teacher! She is patient, works well with children, and is truly dedicated to developing her students. My 6-year-old son had no musical background and she has since taught him how to sight-read in a short amount of time! She encourages a little bit of music book homework, helps with posture, finger positioning, proper technique, etc. and makes each lessons fun and enjoyable. She is an expert in everything music and is very responsive to any questions I have. My son looks forward to each of his lessons. I highly recommend Celine!"

6 Broadway Belting Audition Songs to Knock 'Em Dead

Have you been learning how to belt, and feel ready to show off your skills at your next audition? Check out these recommendations for Broadway belting songs from voice teacher Molly R... Broadway belting is something audiences have loved to hear since the 1940s, when the Queen-of-All-Belters, Ethel Merman, was a main attraction. Belting is a style of singing in which we bring the chest voice higher than we normally would, to convey extra power or emotion. While some people (and teachers) …
