I emphasize piano technique, musicianship, performance skills and music history. But I also use piano lessons to help my students develop life skills, such as concentration, focus, poise and discipline. I love to see my students to build confidence and self-esteem from playing beautiful music.

Gavin L.

Bedminster, NJ

About Gavin

Teaching guitar, and music for over 13 years, 10+ years of that time spent in professional music schools and shops. In addition, I spent 6 years in a special needs school, teaching general music, and guitar to students with learning and behavior issues.
I have had the pleasure of learning from numerous guitar teachers and mentors over the years including, T.T. Quick guitarist, David Dipietro.
Recently having toured the US with national acts in the band McClinton, sharing stages with Saving Abel, Adelita's Way, Framing Hanley, Red, Winger, Steelheart, Bad Seed Rising, LA Guns and many more. I
'm proud to say that I have taken the skills I've honed during those years to stages and studios around the country.
I can help you make sense of concepts that many students find confusing. Focusing on the goals the Students wishes to achieve. Ultimately, I teach a student to be able to progress independently. Learning songs is fine, but in the end it's about learning the concepts that allow the student to learn those songs on his/her own and be able to use those elements create their own music.
I teach all styles, and levels.
Also offering lessons for Bass guitar.

I have studied voice for over 17 years. Amongst my teachers there have been famous singers who have performed at the Metropolitan Opera House, La Scala and Covent Garden. and yet none of them compares to Jane. She has very accurately and promptly identified my problems and targeted them proficiently. She is very energetic, eloquent and enthusiastic. It is clear that Jane herself received excellent instruction and made the most of it. Jane communicates effectively, and more importantly, teaches from the heart. In a few lessons my choirmaster and others have noticed significant improvement in the quality of my singing.

I had Flo for my piano teacher for about 2 years and I learned so much in that time frame. She would always give me new songs to study and every lesson, they would challenge me to try harder. Flo stayed on topic and always kept me focused when I was trying to learn something particularly difficult. I believe she is an excellent teacher with a kind heart who is passionate and dedicated to her job. She is the kind of teacher that will try her hardest and will not give up on your child. I hope you choose her, I'm so glad I did.

I had Flo as an accompaniment in my voice lessons in the past for 5 years. She had absolutely no trouble accompanying me on some of my hardest pieces. She's played my theater pieces, classical pieces, and jazz pieces easily such as Steven Sondheim and Jason Robert Brown. I highly recommend Florence because of her endless abilities with the piano.
