I have been playing clarinet for twelve years and have taught students of all ages and levels. In my lessons we will work on basic fundamental techniques (breathing, technique, etc) while also learning pieces that you can bring home and play for your family. I believe playing the clarinet is something that gives people the ability to increase their creativity level, confidence, and individual expression which is important to our daily lives. I want my students to be able to grow as individuals and learn to have fun with music through playing the clarinet!

I can help you learn the beginning concepts of music theory. As a student musician myself, I completely understand the importance of having those basic skills down. Understanding theory is a key skill in being a great musician because it teaches adjustment and tonal foundations. For example, knowing how many sharps are in the key of D Major will save you a lot of time when you have to sight-read or analyze your next piece.

Lessons:
***KEYBOARD on deck for all lessons*** I find that visual tools help with understanding the theory a little bit better.

I offer 30, 45, and 60-minute sessions. It all depends on your needs.

For lessons at my home or in the community center, parents/guardians are welcome to sit in.

Adult beginners are also welcome!

In voice lessons with me, I will help to coach you through techniques to improve your vocal tone, range and agility. We will learn about proper breath control, healthy vocal technique, and how to correct various vocal pitfalls that might be holding you back. We will do this through the application of vocal exercises and by working our way through the individual needs of our chosen songs. My lessons are driven by my students taste in music rather than my own, so we will always be singing the songs that you love!

"She is wonderful! She helped my teenage son, who had never sung before get a part in the high school musical. She is always prepared, on time, and able to coach the best out of even the shyest of students. She worked tirelessly with my son on improving his voice, knowledge of music and he tryout piece. I would recommend her to anyone who has always wanted to sing but doesn't think he or she can. My son is proof that Gfire can help anyone improve their voice and be confident enough to not only sing in public but get the part."

He is a wonderful producer. So, if you are interested not just in learning guitar, but in recording too, he is able to make your sound shine, and teach you how to do it.
I play both piano and guitar, and he helped me a lot to understand the mechanism inside those instruments with theory and musical touch."

"CHRIS was awesome!!! My first lesson was with a guitar that I’d had for years, he fixed the guitar so that I would have something to practice on, whilst he fixed the guitar he didn’t forget why he was there and went over notes and chords etc, After fixing my guitar we had time to go over the gchord and I pretty much had it as he was walking out the door. I’m very pleased!!!"
