"A fantastic teacher with amazing depth of skill
As a note, I grade tough! Seriously, Amanda is a phenomenal instructor who has made an enormous impact on
our children. She strikes a perfect balance between technical acuity and musical phrasing/interpretation in her teaching style, enabling students to make the music come to life and be more than rote recitation of notes with tempos. I cannot overemphasize the benefit of her skill in this area, as it results in very technically competent musicians, who are also expressive!
She is friendly with families, encouraging to struggling students, challenging for advanced students and makes every student feel like her most important student. Her impact on our children is nearly immeasurable, with the oldest continuing her music education (majoring in 'cello) at the collegiate level. Prior to that point, she was her only private 'cello instructor, as she'd never (and still hasn't) developed beyond the point where Amanda can help her to advance even further.
On top of everything above, she has become a family friend. Professional and personable, she is always my first recommendation to parents and students looking for 'the right' music teacher."

"Patient, kind and knows how to teach
My son first met Kipp when he was 8 years old. When she asked what kind of music he wanted to play he said "I want t
o play funk." And before long he was playing funk! My son is now 18 and in college. From that first meeting with Kipp his ability and passion with playing the guitar grew by leaps and bounds! He can open up any music book and play any song because Kipp taught him all about music theory, building chords, etc. He has been in several bands that he has started and plays lead guitar and sings! I highly recommend Kipp. She keeps it fun and keeps the passion alive. You will not be disappointed!"

"Jason is a phenomenal instructor. As an older student who is not musically inclined and is just picking up the instrument seriously for the first time, I
was apprehensive about taking lessons. Jason has made the process interesting, fun, and informative.
I have only been taking lessons for a few months and beyond learning songs, Jason has given me instruction on guitar maintenance (beyond the everyday care of the instrument) and music theory. I think his holistic approach to playing the guitar really sets him apart from other instructors. I always come away from each lesson feeling that I learned something new and valuable.
Jason really caters to the individual learning styles of his students. I travel often for work and he has found ways for me to continue to learn, even if I don't have my instrument with me. He is also tremendously knowledgeable and patient. If a certain style of learning doesn't seem to be sticking, he will find new and creative ways to teach until the idea resonates with the student.
I feel very fortunate to have found Jason as an instructor. I unreservedly give him the highest of recommendations."

"My son has taken lessons with Paul for over 5 years. Not only is Paul an accomplished musician, he's a great teacher. His teaching style is positive and
supportive. He has modified my son's lessons through the years, as his goals and needs have changed. Paul has always been professional, reliable and enthusiastic. He genuinely seems to enjoy what he does, and as a bonus, Paul is also a really nice guy, who has had a positive influence on my teenage son's life."

Dan is a fantastic instructor! I am a 27 year old whom had never touched a violin in my life before Dan. Now I own a violin, practice every week, and can read basic music sheets. He is very knowledgeable, patient, funny, and flexible. If you're looking to learn a new instrument while having a good time, look no further my friend. What are you waiting for?

Need someone special to teach you...?
Having never even held a violin in my life, I was apprehensive about trying this, but Danut is not only an expert at playing the violin and has several different methods to teach different individuals, but is also flexible in conforming to what is best for each student. And, most importantly (for me) is that he is v-e-r-y patient. LOL I may never be a concert violinist, but I am achieving my goal of learning to play and don't think this would be happening with anyone else. Thank you Danut!

An Encouraging Mentor
I took lessons with Danut for around two years and found him to be an excellent teacher. He is a knowledgable and encouraging instructor, and he never falters in reminding me to be patient and practice slowly.
My lessons with Danut have greatly increased my understanding of violin technique and practice. I improved greatly under his instruction and I would sincerely recommend him to violin students of any age or level.
Joshua picked up his first set of sticks at 10 years old, beginning lessons with his father; this seemingly young interest took a turn for devoted passion and appreciation of rhythm and music. He is versatile drummer with more than 15 years of experience in different styles.
Joshua attended Florida State University and studied Jazz under Leon Anderson as well as advanced studies at The University of South Florida under Dave Via. He has had the opportunity to play with several local musicians such as Marcus Hampton, Mike Gibilsco, Kevin Wilder and many others.
Joshua brings something u
nique to the table with a background in Jazz and passion for teaching!
*** Lesson Details *** I believe drums and music should be fun! You should enjoy learning and practicing on your own time as well as having fun in private lessons. I can tailor the lessons to your interests while integrating several tools to help you learn the basics.
I will also teach from a few different books to help with independence of hands and feet. After 3-6 months you will have learned basic rudiments, how to apply them, and how to play several different drum beats and patterns.
Honestly, the more you practice the more you gain confidence in your abilities to play. But more importantly Drums is Challenging so it can get frustrating its important to have FUN!!!

Joe has logged many years of pr
ofessional performance experience with musical groups of all kinds and is now the owner of Ace Guitar and Vocal Studio, located in St. Petersburg, Fl. since 1998.
In addition to a stint in the 90's as Orchestral Guitarist aboard "The Monarch of the Seas" with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Joe served as Musical Director in 2001 for a Tampa, Fl. production of "Hair", and as Guitarist with numerous Broadway Show road companies such as "The Bernadette Peters Show," "Hello Dolly", and "A Chorus Line." Joe continues to serve the St. Petersburg area as a music instructor in addition to performing locally.
*** Lesson Details *** Singing Lessons: Learning to use your own voice is fun! To develop your voice, and your ability to hear musically, you'll learn ear training and vocal exercises that are proven methods of developing a good musical ear and a strong vocal presence. Want to learn to sing in harmony with others live, or with yourself on a recording? You can do that! If you're a performer, you want to be called back to play again, right? I have personally played many solo gigs over the years, and will provide insights as to how to operate, and comport yourself in a professional manner.
Guitar Lessons: What do you do or want to do with your guitar? Beginning guitar lessons focus on proper methods of tuning the guitar, fundamentals of music, and an early start in the development of correct technique. Most new guitar players want to strum accompaniment chords to back themselves up singing songs. Learning to play chords and melodies leads students in the right direction musically. Taking lessons with a teacher who can guide you in both endeavors makes sense, and at Ace Guitar and Vocal Studio, there is no additional charge if you want both guitar and voice lessons. Of course, you can always take just guitar lessons or just singing lessons.
Learning to play the guitar is a rewarding and fun experience for anyone to enjoy. Maybe you already can play some guitar, and would like to learn more about how to play solos and improvise melodic lines on your guitar. I can help in that department as well. Ace Guitar and Vocal Studio is the place where you will learn about the relationships between scales and chords, develop technical ability, and begin to cultivate a melodic vocabulary, or 'bag of tricks.' In other words, you can ROCK!
Blues Guitar Lessons: I led a local Blues, Rock-a Billy, and Soul R&B band in the 90's in Florida, "The Paradise Blues Band", hosting countless beach bar dates, blues jam nights, opening the St. Petersburg Blues Festival in 1993 at the Bayfront Arena, Festival of States Straub Park appearances and we were the first band to play at William's Park Bandshell outside for St. Petersburg's first 'First Night' New Year's Eve.
Solo Jazz Guitar Lessons: Improvization of melodic solos and how to create your own arrangements of Jazz Standards is a favorite area of study for me, and if you're interested too, we can delve into this area of guitar playing. Learn tunes by Wes Montgomery, Miles Davis, and other Jazz greats.
Classical Guitar Lessons: Is Classical Guitar your passion? Learn to play works by the great composers of classical guitar music, such as Sor, Carcassi, Segovia, Haydn, and others. It's a personally rewarding, satisfying experience to play beautiful classical guitar. If performing for money is your objective, a lot of solo classical guitar gigs at nice restauratnts, hotels, and weddings are out there. I'll get you playing the best selections for these gigs.
Bass Guitar Lessons: Bass players will learn to read and play the great tunes of the work of artists like Donald 'Duck' Dunn, Paul McCartney, and James Jamerson. Learn to play Rock, Blues, Motown, and Pop styles.
*** Studio Equipment *** Learn in a comfortable, state of the art music studio equipped with a ProTools computer-based digital recording system, an incredibly large library of printed music in book form, as well as an extensive selection of digital music files. You'll find Keyboard synthesizers with weighted keys, pro-level microphones, sound system and musical instrument amplifiers, making your learning experience at Ace Guitar and Vocal Studio realistic and fruitful. Weekly lessons are often supplemented with short video presentations that arrive via email for you to watch and review as often as you like.
*** Specialties *** Online lessons available via Skype. Blues guitar specialty. I also teach Classical and Jazz as well as Rock and Country pop styles.

Joe is a real professional talent and teacher. He is extremely patient and thorough with beginners like me. He takes time to cover basic guitar instrument basics, guitar music theory, scales, notes, etc. He is very flexible and will always go over lessons that require review with the student. Being new to instrument lessons I feel very comfortable with Joe's suggestions for me personally for areas that require practice. His videos are very informative as well as other documents regarding reading music, sessions, clefs, etc. His ability to relate his professional experiences into the lessons make the experience that much more valuable. I would highly recommend him as a guitar teacher.

Classical Guitar ·
We have been using Joe for guitar lessons for several years. My oldest Son started with Joe and also participated in his Rock Shop events. Although he is no longer taking lessons, he was playing the guitar last evening and I asked him what song he was playing? It was his original piece and it sounded excellent. The lessons with Joe really paid off. My youngest Son is currently taking lessons from Joe and we are confident that he too will be able to write and play his own music in the future. Joe is very flexible with our changing schedule and always follows up regarding our appointments. We highly recommend Joe to families with kids of all ages.

Great overview of the blues and classical history
I took lesson with Joe Mcintosh for a little over a year with the intent of leaning the basics of guitar playing and specifiaclly the blues. I got a lot of practical information and knowledge from Joe in various aspects of music and its history. I thoroughly enjoyed the lessons and the value it carried.
Joe is a very accomplished player and very patient with his students. I would highly recommend him for anyone with any skill level.
I began my journey in music at the age of 10 with the clarinet in my elementary school band and then progressed to the piano at age 13. I graduated from Gateway College in St. Louis with a Bachelor's degree in music. Currently I am attempting to add guitar and saxophone to my personal repertoire of instruments. I love learning new instruments and I love teaching the piano! I have been a church musician for over 10 years and have played the organ, piano, keyboard, praise sang, led Youth worship and the Youth band, and have directed children's choir. I am currently an assistant music direct
or and worship leader and I absolutely love music and love sharing my passion with others and helping to develop their musical talents.
*** Lesson Details *** I offer both note reading (traditional sheet music) and improv (chord sheet) methods to learning the piano.
Note Reading students will most likely use the Piano Adventures curriculum by Faber & Faber (either Beginner, Older Beginner, or Adult level) and will utilize at least the Lesson and Theory books.
Improv students will receive handouts each lesson. This method is most popular with students wanting to learn "chord-style" or gospel music.
Whether wanting to play for personal enjoyment, joining a church music team, or to pursue music as a possible career, we can work together to pick the perfect style for you and be on your way to a life enriched with the gift of music!
In 3-6 months students should expect to increase in their musical knowledge, vocabulary, practice and performance disciplines, musicianship (technique and attitude) and playing skill.
*** Specialties *** I am most comfortable teaching improvisation/chord style in which the Nashville number system is utilized. EX: G D I won't give up on us Bm A Even if the skies get rough G D I'm giving you all my love A I'm still looking up
But I also teach traditional sheet music.

Nikki L., Sarasota, Florida
Fulfilling a lifelong dream, I started taking piano lessons a year ago with Nikki L. I started from scratch not knowing anything and here I am, a year later, still at it! Because of her teaching skills and ability to measure my progress and competence, I am well into Book 2 of "Adult Piano Adventures." Her firm, but encouraging approach during each lesson has been a positive step for me by offering both praise and criticism when due. More importantly, she keeps me focused in such a way that I actually like to practice! Also, her clear instruction and guidance regarding music theory adds a new dimension to this hobby and offers meaningful insight into the learning process. I strongly recommend Nikki L.for piano instruction for any age group and for any level!
I graduated with my associates degree from musicians institute in Hollywood, California for vocal performance. I have been singing since the young age of 4 and was always in the school choir. I have experience in singing, song writing, piano and studio recording. I have always believed that music is a great outlet to escape from life's everyday stresses or worries, therefor music should always remain fun. They say home is where the heart is...well.music is my home!!!
*** Lesson Details *** When taking lessons with me you can expect a laid back environment. I believe music should always re
main fun to keep a creative flow. You can expect to broaden your vocal range and and learn the creativity of music performance and writing.
"You know what what music is God's little reminder that there is something else in the universe besides us; harmonic connection between all living beings; everywhere, even the stars!" Robin williams
