I have my Master's Degree in piano performance. I am an experienced teacher(30 years) as I taught at the Settlement schools in Philadelphia with all levels and backgrounds for 16 years. Some students were extremely talented.
I have had my own studio in my home since 1999.
I'm also great with beginners and intermediate students.
I love teaching, so it really doesn't matter what level the student has attained.

I had to cancel my granddaughter's piano lessons with Karen S. due to family and personal reasons associated with the limitations and restrictions imposed as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. Karen is an excellent piano instructor. She has a kind and approachable manner, with just the right mix of friendliness and professionalism. My 11-year-old granddaughter loved taking lessons from Karen. When my granddaughter applied for entrance as a piano major at a school of the arts, Karen provided her with exceptional assistance and support both preparing for her acceptance into the school and also enabling my granddaughter's advancing piano proficiency and learning. I recommend Karen to anyone looking for piano lessons with a kind, caring and extremely knowledgeable and talented piano instructor.

Karen and I shared one of those truly remarkable situations, we hit it off right away! We found out we have many things in common, but I also found that her style of teaching fits me perfectly . I left my lesson knowing I had made the right decision in returning to the piano. Looking forward to doing something just for myself...with Karen's help.

Ahdda has worked with my daughter for two years, and is an outstanding teacher. Ahdda focuses not only on how singing should sound, but on how your body should feel and what it should be doing when you sing. She explains this clearly, and the techniques she teaches result in a beautiful sound while ensuring that the singer's voice will remain healthy.
Yanqing
My past voice trainings have a rigid approach so I was following the instructions mechanically. I thought that this is the way to go--until I met Ms.Ahdda. Her "Voga" (voice yoga) focuses on sensations and helps me to trust that my body has the ability to create the right sound. I stopped analyzing the "why"s and am instead remembering the right feelings. My singing skills have improved so much, and I have only been working with Ms. Ahdda for 6 months!

Violin is a complex art, one that takes many years to develop, but can be one of the most rewarding experiences in your life. Despite its challenges, love for the violin and music should never take a back seat in a lesson, That is what I will focus on. Nevertheless, there are methods and techniques crucial to violin playing that I will also keep at the forefront. At the end of the day, students have their own unique voice that I will try to nurture while at the same time teach them the fundamental tools to achieve it. "I could not recommend a better teacher and person in Eulis. His kind spirit, patient demeanor, and gifted voice provides any student with a strong example of what a professional musician looks like. What most people need is someone who doesn't just paint by the numbers but who is able to assess your goals, talents and desires and match it with just the right program; you'll progress quickly and enjoy every minute of the effort. Because of his vast experience, breadth of skills and years of singing, Eulis provides the kind of musical insights that help you find out who you are and discover or refine your voice. Thanks, Eulis for all the great work we've done together and I look forward to more!"

"Keith is the best! I came in as a beginner and Keith makes everything really easy to follow and understand. With over 40 years of experience, it's clear that Keith really knows what he's talking about. Even as a Grammy-winner, with experience with people like Bob Seger and friends like Eddie and Alex Van Halen, he's still such a down-to-earth guy. I look forward to every one of our lessons! Not only am I learning the dynamics of drumming and starting with techniques that I'll be able to build on forever, but I also learn about the music industry every lesson. His lessons go well beyond just drumming and you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone else in the area who has his kind of experience and skills. Keith goes above and beyond, as an instructor. His love of drumming is infectious and I can't even believe I was able to get lessons with someone of his caliber. Musicians like Keith are usually in LA and NY, we are SO lucky to have him here. Look no further, Keith is your guy. If he has any availability! ;)"

"I am a professional musician who works closely with Jessica. Jessica and I work together at our church in the youth choir/band and the adult choir (I am the director of both music groups). Outside of the church, the two of us also comprise a duo, playing classical music and modern classics together. I can speak to Jessica's professionalism and virtuosity, and I can also speak to her interaction with children.
Jessica is incredibly musical; she sight reads fluently, she has excellent intonation and a beautiful tone on her violin, her rhythm is flawless, and she has an instinctive and musical sense of dynamics, leading to beautiful interpretations and expression. She is a superb player in ensemble/chamber music. As a soloist, she commands the stage with a presence of beauty, technical expertise, and confidence.
Jessica works wonderfully with children. She is a kind and loving influence, giving helpful suggestions to the children to help them develop better musicianship. She has vision as a musician, and she conveys her ideas clearly to both children and adults."

3 Things Every Guitarist Needs To Know About Songwriting

Writing a song can be one of the most satisfying experiences you'll have with your instrument! Guitar teacher Samuel B. shares three things every guitarist should know about writing a song on guitar... As a teacher, having you develop the ability to express yourself is my number one goal. Playing guitar solos is one form of personal expression. Writing songs is another. If you've never written a song, you might think of songwriting as something that only a few special people can do. In real …
