My goal for the first lesson, is to get to know my student. I want to find out who their favorite bands/drummers are, what their lesson goals are and most importantly, their approach to learning. Now I can adapt my approach to teaching to best suit that individual student. I am patient and encourage my students to practice. I believe that anyone can become a drummer.

*** Studio Equipment ***
"Light and Sound Studio" is a full service audio/video/lesson studio with state of the art equipment.

*** Specialties ***
I teach reading and writing music notation as well as to play by ear. I specialize in Jazz, Rock, Blues, Country, Metal, and Latin styles. I know heel-up, heel-down, and heel-toe bass drum pedal technique.

About Ruth
I have played piano since I was six years old, when my parents enrolled me in my first music classes. I continued my music education while going to elementary, middle, and high school. Ultimately, I graduated with a Master's Degree in Music from Butler University, located in Indianapolis, Indiana

Music has been one of my greatest passions since I was a little girl, and teaching it is my favorite way to share my love of music. I teach students of all ages and skill levels from early beginners to experienced piano players who want to bring their performance to a higher level.

I emphasize piano technique, musicianship, performance skills and music history. But I also use piano lessons to help my students develop life skills, such as concentration, focus, poise and discipline. I love to see my students to build confidence and self-este
em from playing beautiful music.

Tim is a really nice and patient teacher. I did not have any drum experience before, but Tim arranges the first courses from basic rhythm practice, and also asked me to set up a long goal of playing drum cover of my favorite song. So the drum lesson is always interesting and compact, which makes me want to practice more in my spare time. I hope I could follow up the courses with more improvement and did better with his guidance.

Graduate of Violin Performance Master degree at
Yale University and String Pedagogy Master degree at Temple University, I love both teaching and playing.
I'm one of the faculties at Symphony in C Youth Orchestra and St. Malachy School where I work with many different ages and levels of students.
I also teach at Petite Ecole Bilingue Institute working with kids as young as 3 year olds to Kindergarten specializing in early childhood education through music and violin.
I've had my private studio for nearly 10 years from young children to adults.
I'm also an active orchestral player where I'm a member of the Virginia Symphony, Allentown Symphony, Symphony in C and New Jersey Capital Philharmonic.
I believe it's very important for the teacher to have both experience in performing and teaching in order to fully understand and help the
students.
Through the lessons I help students on understanding the fundamentals of music theory, creating an ideal sound, and musical expression and coordination.
Whether they're trying to just have fun with music, improve their basic skills or prepare auditions such as School or District Orchestra, Youth Orchestra (PYO PYAO or many other local groups), I try to find the best for each students.
Every student is different. I work with students individually and use different approaches for each one of them. Such as methods, repertoire and lesson skills.
But most important of all, I always make sure that my student does not loose interest and have fun making music!

About Kevin
My approach to teaching has a very heavy emphasis on implementing the idea of mindfulness into the students life. I have found that this is not only the quickest way to learn, but also the most motivating way to learn any skill for both my students and myself. A simple awareness of the finite details that go into a craft, while at the same time acting upon them in way that is loose and detached has helped me learn an array of new skills and has profoundly changed my life as well as others for the better.

About Gavin
Teaching guitar, and music for over 13 years, 10+ years of that time spent in professional music schools and shops. In addition, I spent 6 years in a special needs school, teaching general music, and guitar to students with learning and behavior issues.
I have had the pleasure of learning from numerous guitar teachers and mentors over the years including, T.T. Quick guitarist, David Dipietro.
Recently having toured the US with national acts in the band McClinton, sharing stages with Saving Abel, Adelita's Way, Framing Hanley, Red, Winger, Steelheart, Bad Seed Rising, LA Guns and many more. I'm proud to say that I have taken the skills I've honed during those years to stages and studios around the country.
I can help you make sense of concepts that many students find confusing. Focusing on the goals the Students wishes to achieve. Ultim
ately, I teach a student to be able to progress independently. Learning songs is fine, and a great way to get motivated, but in the end it's about learning the concepts that allow the student to learn those songs on his/her own and be able to use those elements create their own music.
I teach all styles, and levels.
I am currently unable to offer lessons at my home studio, but still provide lessons on Skype or in your home.
Also offering lessons for Bass guitar.

Both of my daughters love to sing. We signed up for lessons so they could learn their favorite pop songs; one of my daughters also took piano. They've learned how to hit notes easier and how to properly warm up; Lia is great at finding fun ways to keep them engaged while also still learning.
