By the time I was in middle school, I was writing music for the piano and violin. Ohio State expanded my horizons, as professors gave me assignments to write for other instruments in different and more modern styles. At the same time, I developed my interest in pop/rock music and devoted time to songwriting. Whether you want to write a string quartet or a rock anthem, I can help you. My goal is to have you discover your own compositional style rather than mimic mine.

My goal as a teacher is to make students successful in their goals. I work with a variety of people; some of them study music for personal enjoyment and others for their musical career. Everyone responds differently to music, that is why I prepare special lessons for each student. It is important that my students enjoy what they are playing and for that reason I have a variety of repertoire that they can choose from.
From a lot of experience with beginner piano students, both young and adults, I have been able to find a regimen of piano teaching that combines time efficiency with fun. As the lessons continue, I slowly add new tools to each weekly lesson that are exiting and interesting. While working with intermediate to advanced students, I have had coached them to apply and get accepted into some of the top Universities and Conservatories in the country. My students, beginner intermediate and advanced levels, have been awarded for their performances and activities in schools and ...

Mark Williams was my son, Nicholas' private violin teacher at his elementary school. My son enjoyed lessons and he learned a great deal of aquired skills he needed to play violin. Mr. Williams was able to share his enthusiasm of playing violin with my son. He made my son be more serious when he practiced violin. He allowed my son to have a private concert which encouraged him and gave him confidence. Mr. Williams was a very friendly and encouraging teacher who is able to make his students confident violin players."

Besides classics, I've also had a chance to do a bit of jazz and ragtime, a welcome expansion"

Wouldn’t it be great to learn to play an instrument in minutes? Think of the musical repertoire you would have! Unfortunately, like many different skill sets, that simply isn’t the case. Learning to play an instrument, as with driving and hitting a great shot on the golf course, is all about practice. The more you practice, the faster you learn, and the better you play. And the violin, a wooden chordophone with a beautiful soprano sound, takes time to learn, just like any other ins …
