Whether you are a complete beginner or a more advanced student looking to improve your skills and musicality, I can help you wherever you're at! I have been teaching violin since 2008 and have both my bachelor's and master's degrees in violin performance. I stress a strong technical foundation in all my students through correct posture and relaxation while playing. I grew up in the Suzuki method and have been trained to use it for my beginning and intermediate students. I am a classically trained violinist and teacher, but can teach other genres as well!

About DaNece

I started the violin when I was eight years old and taught my first student when I was 17. As a musician, I love the experience of making music in professional orchestras, chamber groups, and solo playing as much as I love teaching it to students of every age and level. As a vocalist trained in Classical, Jazz, and popular styles of music, I have come to understand that the art of singing is inherently a highly emotional, physical and intellectual experience. With precise discipline, motivation and perseverance, music can seemingly fall into place. When these elements are united in preparation for a performance, the voice becomes free and the possibilities seem endless. My goal as a an artist and teacher is to discover these boundless possibilities for myself and therefore my students.

To best do this, I have adopted an adaptive and collaborative style of teaching. At the start of each semester I assess each student’s unique strengths, goals, and expectations. Once this is done I am able to create a personalized lesson plan that will evolve as each student progresses in his or her training. A focus on instilling the foundational skills of discipline, stamina and creativity in accordance with functional voice technique, results in the growth of ...

Kasey is a wonderful teacher. Before taking lessons with Kasey I had to stop singing for more than 5 years due to illness. She was amazing at safely bringing me back to vocal health. I am now able to sing light opera and folk songs even better than I used to. I am impressed with her level of knowledge and she really motivates me to work hard at my craft. She is truly the best teacher that I have ever had and would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to be the best singer that they can be.

Paul has been a wonderful instructor for our 9 year old. He has a way of teaching while incorporating structured learning techniques that kept my son engaged in the lesson (no small feat for him!). Paul demonstrated absolute patience with my son and taught him the new while reinforcing some core violinist positioning and methods. He is very communicative and available when there are questions. The platform for doing remote violin lessons has worked out surprisingly nicely! I highly recommend Paul!
Rosalyn
Paul is a most excellent violin instructor. He is very patient and kind. I don't feel self conscious about learning the violin as Paul quickly puts me at ease when I am challenged. Paul explains and demonstrates everything so well that it is much easier to catch on. In addition Paul has a very friendly and relaxed disposition that makes him a delight to work with. Without a doubt I highly recommend Paul as a WHOLE but he is UBER Great with novice students such as myself.

"I started lessons after teaching myself for about 20 years, and wanting to move beyond being a campfire guitar player. I have found it to be a very helpful and enjoyable process; and have made much more progress than I would have versus reading books and watching YouTube videos. The relationship, real-life feedback, and ability to ask questions are all extremely helpful. Jared is a knowledgeable, kind, and patient teacher. When my daughter expressed interest in guitar I started her with lessons too, and I couldn’t be happier with how he works with her and plays music games to keep her interested. Overall I’m very happy with Jared."

"Hannah's awesome! I contacted her mainly for songwriting feedback but also for guidance while applying and auditioning for BYU's commercial music program. She always went above and beyond in assisting me from songwriting, to voice lessons, to guidance with production and recording and navigating the local music scene. Hannah knows what she is talking about in both vocal and music techniques, as well as the business side of music. And even more important, she truly loves what she does and has a natural ability for teaching in a way that will help you grow immensely!
