Lilla is very patient, encouraging, and cooperative. She is also very calm. When I'm having difficulties, she's always very good at helping me remember or see that it's just something to be dealt with, and it doesn't mean anything.

Leela
She’s very helpful in many different ways. Whenever my son is doubting his ability and skill, she explains very clearly that he is good and builds the confidence in him. She’s very detail oriented and pays attention to very important basic skills like finger placement and body positioning. She provides great suggestions for practicing at home what she has taught. Very knowledgeable and patient. I highly recommend her.

Lorin was absolutely awesome. She took time to make my daughter feel comfortable and gave her the confidence since she needed in order for her to be the best she can be. She provided tips along the hour sessions and things to work on until the next time. We made an excellent decision and she is excited for the next visit.

About Mandie

Hello, future pianists! My name is Mandie (or Miss Mandie, as my younger students call me). I have been playing the piano for twenty years, and I’ve been teaching since high school, over 12 years ago! I received my bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Cornerstone University, but teaching has always been my first love. Teaching piano is so much fun for me; during the lessons we joke around and have so much fun, my students usually don’t even realize how much they are learning. For my youngest students, we dance and color and sing right alongside learning piano. I want my students to have a good foundation and knowledge of the piano, but I want them to enjoy the process. That being said, for those of you who are looking for a more traditional education, I have a very deep knowledge of classical piano and training so I will gladly put

away my crayons and teach that sort of lesson! If any of this sounds like something you or your child would resonate with, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Mandie is very accommodating and includes the parent in weekly conversations. She is very patient with my daughter who loves the piano but has ADHD. She has worked with my daughter for two years now and we just want her to enjoy music. Her recital duet was by far the best act! It was unique and captured my daughter love to be different!
Mandie’s ability to engage and not discourage my daughter makes my heart happy.
Mandie is very accommodating with scheduling and makeups. Whether you are interested in competition level piano or just the love of music Mandie is the right teacher for you.

A little more about me... I studied composition and vocal performance at Cornish College of the Arts, class of 2016, and studied with grammy nominated Brazilian composer, Jovino Santos Neto, grammy nominated composer Wayne Horowitz, and grammy winning leader of the Kronos Quartet, David Harrington. As a student I studied everything from opera to Persian music to jazz and to pop and let this exploration of genre guide who I am as a musician. I have composed pieces and have sung with the Seattle Philharmoni

Taylor is extremely easy to work with and very talented in her ability to advise and challenge you to grow. She's willing to work with you to define goals and help you get there through actionable practice and advising she's learned throughout her career. An important aspect is capturing the reason you need music in the first place and she goes beyond just being a voice teacher and into being a coach/partner to help you achieve your unique goals with music. I've become more confident with my singing which she is able to help me understand requires different skills than just direct vocal practice. I'm excited to continue to learn from her!
