About Aaron
Berklee College of Music graduate, Aaron M., has been teaching students of all ages for over 15 years.
"I love watching young musicians grow into seasoned players and have had tremendous success with all my students. I believe that learning songs and playing music is a critical element in the learning process of becoming a good drummer/pianist, and musician. This is why I bring a powered PA speaker, mp3 player, and (sometimes) a guitar to my lessons for the student to play along with and learn familiar songs. Over the years I've learned to strike a balance between Reading/Rudiments and Playing/having fun, so as to maintain students interests and growth."

My boys, ages 7 & 5, started piano lessons with Aaron a year ago. He has taught them technique & theory all while using songs they boys love. There are days that the boys are not the most cooperative. Aaron is amazingly patient and persistent in getting the boys to do their lessons. I really appreciate and have learned from this patience when it comes to the nightly practicing. I am pleased that the boys have been working with a male teacher and I think it really helps them relate to the music and the lessons. If you are looking for a patient yet knowledgeable piano teacher, I would definitely recommend Aaron.

About Andrew
Hello and welcome to my studio!

I started trumpet as a young elementary schooler and began teaching private lessons in 2015. I had very poor technique up through highschool but landed a jazz performance major in college. I hurt myself playing and started to tear muscle in my lip. I decided I loved music too much to let it go so I took the long hard path of fixing my injury. I am a much better player, but more importantly I learned many things because of it. I want to teach these things to you because they help you become a better trumpet player faster.

When we start lessons, we will begin with breathing exercises as we need air to play trumpet. We will then work on developing a proper embouchure and making a nice sound. And later the more difficult parts like flexibility, dexterity, articulations, and of course... the belo
ved high notes!

Some of my students have asked about meeting less than every week because of personal schedules. I am 100% OK with this! HOWEVER, I do require we meet two times per month. This gives the student ample lesson time that gives progress in the long run.

That being said, I'm glad you have decided to take trumpet lessons and look forward to helping you create great music! If you have any questions and want to start lessons, send me a message. Let's get started!

First, its a big plus that he comes to the house. He is well educated and it is obvious he knows what he is doing. Andrew was able to immediately meet my granddaughter at the level of her experience and go from there. He is personable. She is already showing improvement; we are very pleased. Can't say enough good things about Andrew.

I first met Andrew when I joined the Temple University Diamond Marching Band. Andrew was the trumpet section leader and breath tech, and he made it his goal to ensure that everyone in the section could improve as much as possible by focusing in on the aspects of each individual's playing. In addition to knowing a lot about the trumpet and trumpet playing, Andrew was exceptionally friendly to everyone he worked with. He was always willing to offer advice not just about trumpet, but life in general, and he has greatly contributed to my trumpet playing and attitude towards life. I would recommend Andrew to anyone looking to improve their trumpet playing.

Andrew is a dedicated and trained trumpet player that has a great personality geared to sharing his thoughts and training experience to others. I have played with Andrew in both a concert band and brass ensemble setting. His knowledge of the trumpet has allowed Andrew to adapt to most settings like the concert band, brass ensemble, and specifically Jazz groups.

She provided the right balance of structure and flexibility that allowed my daughter to advance her skills and still have fun with non-Suzuki music as well. Blake is a very dedicated filmmaker, he has experimented a lot...and you can feel it because he's teaching is simple and clear. He's very prepared, ofcourse, but you know: many pro out there are also well "prepared".. you could go to cinema schools and find some teachers and they are probably prepared. NOW fact is Blake is not a normal teacher who is teaching you what he knows just because he's prepared to do that. Blake is an hyper-active and truly passionate filmmaker who's able to transfer enthusiasm together with notions..studying filmmaking with him has been more like diving into the deep waters of filmmaking and storytelling...not just fontal lesson on theory and technical stuff..he didn't fed students with tons of notions "do this, do that, shutter speed, iso, how to slo-mo, fps and blabla" ... we went out, hands on, we started to shoot...also people who never shot before. I got inspired to do more.. to go out and try and make mistakes and shoot and shoot more..believing in my vision, in my ideas.. so much that I started to get my sh..t done! After few months I started to get my first payed video-jobs too..now I don't want to say that this happened like magically after his course, of course you need to push yourself, but lemme say: if there is one person I owe my motivation to is absolutely Blake. He shared his knowledge with me, he inspired me to realize my own experience. Also after the course, he has been available for questions when I needed back-up on things I was not sure about..and this is really nice ((and in my experience not common at all ;)) Thumb up!!
