About Michael
My Wife & I Both have Masters Degrees from Central Michigan Univ. I am an Air Force Veteran.

My Wife helps me teach in the program and is an adviser for the Female program.

Two deep leadership at all times and parents have waiting areas visible to classes. I love guitar and playing music, I think I have taught so long I would not know what to do without a music/teaching career. I have made a living playing guitar for 25 years.

*** Lesson Details ***
I have been a music teacher so long I have become very simplistic. I teach the following:

(1) To practically play while having fu
n (4 locations to choose).

(2) Music Theory.

(3) Playing by ear.

(4) Leadership Skills. I am still having a great time teaching, so we do it a lot. I love to teach and enjoy it very much, I owe a lot to my music career and want to pass it on. We are in Rotary and support many community activities.

*** Studio Equipment ***
I have - 4 Professional teaching studios - that are in nice locations.

I really enjoy my job and have a lot of great equipment; we work hard, but have a lot of fun too.

*** Travel Equipment ***
(1) Respectfully what is reasonable. I am a full time musician, I am flexible and happy - we can work these things out.

(We have a lot of equipment, I am very thankful). We have very good business relationships in the community.

I appreciate my job.

*** Specialties ***
(1) Group interactive method based on theory.
(2) Students show leadership in their own program.
(3) Students work with me (instructor) on Lesson Plans.
(4) Students pick out material they want to study.
(5) Students work on (ear training) and reading music.

Michael Christian is a great guitar instructor. He helped me learn to to play guitar and apply music theory to my learning. Not only that he has a program that he has developed over the past 30 years to help students succeed and be successful musicians. I learned to play guitar and now rely on the guitar for my income. He rocks!

I had my first online lesson today, and I can already tell that Jon is a great instructor. He has you play most of the lesson and provides lesson materials. He's knowledgable, motivating, patient, and he builds your confidence as a player. I'm looking forward to continuing lessons with him. Thanks Jon!

Referred to Jon by a friend. I knew within 2 minutes of meeting him we were going to be happy with our choice. I love to listen in while he is instructing my granddaughter. He is so patient and kind but yet firm enough to manage a beginning student and keep them motivated. My 12 year old granddaughter practices every day without prompting because he advised her that was an expectation. I would highly recommend him!

David is very patient and observant. He consistently notices where I am having troubles and develops exercises to better manage any weaknesses. I notice immediate improvement from these special instructions. If you want to learn how to play guitar correctly, have fun and improve your form, David is the teacher for you. I am excited that I finally took up playing guitar at the age of 47 and much of my excitement is due to David.

I'm a returning student after 40 years, convinced I no longer knew how to sight read and had no sense of rhythm. Christina selected exactly the right material to start me off with! The perfect combination of keyboard familiarity, progression thru different keys (I, IV, V etc in key of C, B etc), what 'resolved' sounded like, music time (4/4, 6/8), the cues for volume + tone. She tuned up my mind as well as my ear - I couldn't be more thrilled!
