Tyler is an excellent teacher who made learning music fun for my kids. I have twin boys and one of them took drum lessons from Tyler and the other took piano. Both boys loved taking lessons with Tyler and looked forward to the lesson each week. Tyler was very professional in his communication and was super easy to work with. I would highly recommend Tyler.

Tyler worked with our daughter for over a year prior to relocating to Portland. He was engaging and a talented teacher (and drummer!). We were sorry to see him leave Chicago, but whoever works with him will be in for a treat.

I've taken a couple of lessons from Trevor so far and they have been awesome. I've taken lessons from about 7 or 8 instructors in my lifetime and he is definitely one of, if not the best.
The thing that makes Trevor stand out to me is that he took the time to get to know what I wanted to learn and to figure out how I like to learn. He comes prepared to the lessons with material, answers any questions I have during the week by email and has worked with me to develop a specific education plan to meet my goals.
I suggest taking a trial lesson with this guy to see if you're on the same page. I am definitely not going anywhere else while I live in Austin.

I know Ania's teaching from the time we worked together at music schools in Seattle, and I've gotten to see the passion and high level of musicianship that she brings to her lessons. Ania pushes her students towards clear and attainable goals with steady encouragement, and I saw the results in the rapid progress of her students, who loved playing their instrument and were visibly excited by the gains they were making. I highly recommend her as a teacher!

I have been taking the piano lessons with Ania for a couple of lessons. She helped me realize my life-long dream of playing classical piano music. She is a very talented and astounding instructor with a super solid theoretical background. During the lesson with her, the music goes way beyond just playing the right note with correct tempo. She shows me those exquisite parts hidden behind the sheet music. The piano music starts to become dynamic, alive and captivating. I highly recommend her to anyone.

About Sami
Currently based in Austin, Sami loves mixing concerts of the standard repertory that non-musicians recognize with new and relevant works, from Bach to Rautavaara.
Ms. Froncek has spent the past two years researching and studying in Belgium. As part of her research, she completed a post-graduate diploma at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. She received a Fellowship from the Belgian American Educational Foundation and was also a finalist for the Fulbright study/research grant. Her research included the study of solo piano music of Flemish Romantic, Impressionistic, and Contemporary composers from Peter Benoit to Wim Hendrickx, as well as the standard repertory, as well as a survey of teaching methods and institutions for pre-college students in Belgium. Ms. Froncek’s recital appearances included Project Sarmila’s Benefit Recital in Hassel
t, “Aperitiefconcert” with cellist Margot Joubard in Leuven, at her own “Thanksgiving Day Recital” at the Muziekacademie in Mortsel, and in Antwerp at the Blauwe Zaal in Desingel. Her favorite was the benefit recital for the Nepalese earthquake relief effort for Project Sarmila. She performed recitals elsewhere in Europe, most notably Munich and Berlin.
Ms. Froncek holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Baylor University in piano performance. Her teachers include James Williams, Jane Abbott-Kirk, and Levente Kende. She has played in masterclasses with Richard Goode, Steven Osborne, Till Fellner, Pavlina Dokovska, Dang Thai Son, Craig Nies, and Norman Krieger. In 2010, she was elected to Pi Kappa Lambda, the national music honor society. She also attended Brevard Music Festival in 2009 and 2012, and PianoSummer in New Paltz, NY in 2010.
Even though she considers multiple places home, Ms. Froncek is from small-town Derby, Kansas where she graduated first in her class from Derby High School, which was, at the time, the largest high school in the state. It was here that she began teaching, beginning with swimming for her club team, academic mentoring, French horn lessons, and piano lessons. She later maintained a small private piano studio throughout her undergraduate and master degrees, and afterwards served as a faculty member of Dallas/Music in the Park Cities area of Dallas.
She is on piano faculty at the Mt. Blanca Summer Music Conservatory in Alameda, Colorado. This summer, she will be returning to Europe, and she will be stopping in Belgium to restock her chocolate supply.
