My 8 year old is just getting started with lessons with Jessica, but she liked her right away. She's very patient and encouraging, no matter what sounds come from the instrument! She seems very experienced and happy to share her talent with others. (my daughter always says about Jessica's playing "her's sounds so pretty!")

Jessica is an amazing instructor! My daughter started with her last year (she was five and just turned 6) and the progress she has made is amazing! Jessica is so patient, kind, and knowledgeable. We feel so lucky to have her as our daughter’s teacher!

My son loves learning from Mrs. Bailey because she is nice, patient, and knows a lot how to teach children.

Very knowledgeable and experienced in not just playing the violin but teaching it as well.

At the age of 58 I decided to start taking violin lessons for 2 reasons, enjoyment of playing music and exercise my brain. I found Lucy K on the takelessons.com website and she was able to accommodate my request for lessons in my home on a Sunday. Starting from scratch, she taught me the fundamentals of playing and I have made some progress over the last 8 months. She is patient with me yet will push me along and at time bring me out of my comfort zone, which is good. She has the ability and training to teach students from early age to older adults like me. In addition, she also teaches piano, which my wife started lessons with Lucy K at the same time I started violin. She has my recommendation if you have interest in either violin or piano.

An experienced guitar player of 13 years. Especially good with beginners including both very young and older students. It's never too early or late to start playing! Will cater a specific personal lesson plan to your desires to make sure we move at YOUR best pace. We'll build a solid foundation so that you can learn how to teach yourself and continue to grow and love music long after these lessons. We can get you up and running with your favorite tunes or start delving into the musical theory side of things. I make sure that our lessons are fun but also challenging and I make sure we spend some time learning how to build finger strength, how to improvise, and (most importantly) how to play with other musicians!

It was the first time with a Teacher for singing. I was a nice experience and I will see how it will be the next times.
Dan is very positiv and I could feel that he loves what he is doing.

I had an opportunity to polish up my language skill with an exceptional guidance I received from Dan over the past few years. As English is my third language, I have always encountered sets of challenges to become highly proficient at it post high school age. My grammar, listening and writing skills, just to name a few, have improved leaps and bounds by having to work with Dan one on one. His methodical approach and patience in teaching transcends any area of studies whether it be music or language. I would highly recommend Dan for any future students out there.

"Marci is fabulous with senior citizens!!!

I am 60 years old, retired, and have always wanted to take piano lessons. Our perfect grandson, Max, has been taking lessons with Marci for a couple of years, and his brother, our other perfect grandson, Gibson, will be starting soon. Their mom recommended Marci with no hesitation. I do the same!!

I am a different student for Marci than she is used to. She has the gift of a true teacher to be able to teach any age. (As a retired teacher of 35 years, I can attest to this professionally as well as personally!) She has the gift of dealing with any age and any ability.

I would recommend Marci with my whole heart and no hesitation whatsoever!!"

"Megan is an excellent musician & yes, a kind and gentle person. But, please know, she is one of the most self-motivated students I ever encountered! Performed recital not required at an extremely high level of musicianship - and after graduation, successfully pursued a performance career! I’m certain that she’s great at sharing her knowledge - but also her enthusiasm is extremely contagious! Whether clarinet, cello, or piano, you (or your student) must experience her joy of music and of life in general!"

"I am a beginner harp student at the age of 64, and also a Professor with fairly high expectations. I wasn't sure what to expect from a young teacher like Becca. Within minutes I could tell she is a natural at teaching the harp. What impressed me the most was that she understands every person learns differently. She is sensitive and thus listens to the student's comments and intuitively knows how to respond in the best way. She also has a lot of patience - being a perfectionist I wanted to repeat over and over certain movements and Becca was right there with me, giving me fresh guidance along the way. I learned so much with her and will always remember our lessons with gratitude."

What Age is Best to Start Learning Guitar?

Is there a best age for learning guitar? We asked guitar teacher Linda L., who has taught young children, teens, adults, and seniors for her take... My opinion on the best age at which to start learning guitar has evolved over the years. I started teaching myself to play the guitar at the age of 14. The book that I used to teach myself featured photos of a 7-year-old girl demonstrating how each chord was to be played. The author of the book told the readers that he had this youn …
