About Jacquie
As a young child, Jacquie began to show interest in both piano and voice. Coming from a musical family tree, her father began teaching her beginner piano as well as vocal harmony through original children compositions. She began her formal piano training at age 8 and continued to study for the next 5 years. At this time she also began writing music and recording her compositions in the family recording studio.

Around the age of 12, Jacquie began her training in classical voice. She is well versed in all styles from Opera to Pop and has the unique ability to train others to accomplish their musical goals. As a Coloratura Soprano she has starred in many productions and won prestigious vocal competitions throughout the USA and Europe. Jacquie is an accomplished Contemporary Songwriter and Recording Artist which has caught the eye of quit
e a few National Recording Companies. In the Summer of 2000 she toured throughout Tuscany, Italy as a featured soloist with SSMA with an Orchestral Ensemble. While in college she minored in Piano Performance and majored in Vocal Performance.

Jacquie began teaching at the age of 16 from her family's music store in beginner piano and voice where she learned the art of being an private instructor. Since then she has taught at other prestigious Music Schools and has trained students of all ages to the advanced level. She prides herself on the ability to be able to customize each lesson to accommodate both the student's wants and needs. She has trained many students who have gained successful entrance into LVPA Charter High School, Community Theaters and highly acclaimed competitions such as "American Idol." In 2005 she acquired a membership with NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing).

Come have FUN with Jacquie, she would love to have the opportunity to guide you or your children through a musical journey!

As a private instructor Jacquie believes that lessons can be both FUN and rewarding. She holds her students accountable for practicing and preparing for the next week's lesson by setting goals and providing techniques in order to be successful. Throughout the lesson she will give praise for the students accomplishments as well as give constructive feedback for improvement. She prefers to teach from the Alfred's Piano Library for Piano, recommends Theory, Harmony & Solfege, as well as materials for the students choice of Musical and Vocal style. It is also recommended to bring a notebook, binder and personal MP3 device in order to prepare for the next week's lesson. Within the first 3-6 months a student will have learned the beginning techniques for either piano or voice and have quite a few songs added to their repertoire.

Jacquie's studio has a comfortable seating area for parents to observe the lesson if desired. She also has a full size digital studio piano, recording studio, stereo, and other musical necessities to accommodate each and every lesson professionally.

All styles from Opera to POP!
Experience with teaching young children, special needs (physically/intellectually disabled), and people who are tone deaf.

Excellent Teaching Skills

The best vocal coach ever! Miss Jackie makes the students feel as though there is nothing that they cannot do and helps them achieve it. She is very knowledgeable in every aspect of her field, goes above and beyond. She is very patient with the students and never lets them feel silly. I highly recommend her for vocal lessons.

I’ve always loved teaching from a young age; finding new ways to break down complex ideas and techniques and making it fun and easy is something that gives me a lot of satisfaction. If you want to play your favorite songs on saxophone, I can save you years of frustration and slow progress.

At the bottom of this page, I have a YouTube video of 3 of my sax students' incredibly fast progress. None of them had ever played saxophone, You can do that too! It’s easy and fun. No boring scales, exercises and dumb tunes. Just a simple, easy way to becoming a great sounding sax player in 1/10th the time. This method has worked for over 1000 students and works 100% of the time if you commit to practice.

I guarantee if you commit to practicing 30 minutes 5 days a week for 4 months and you don't see the success in the video I will give you ALL
of your money back. I have 3 Grammy nominations but the proof of what i can do for you is in this video. Search this title on Youtube:
"Demo of My Sax Students Improvising Progress- 5th lesson to 16th lesson" or just click the video at the bottom of this page.

Charlie is an awesome teacher and my 6 year old enjoys the guitar lessons. We like him so much better than the original independent teacher we had, with whom we felt rushed all the time, and we didn't get our money worth. With Charlie is different, he is patient and has the right approach for kids beginners; we highly recommend him to others.

About Nathan
I am an avid cellist and a firm believer in sharing my love for classical music with anyone. From the age of four, I was trained in the Boston area with incredible teachers and mentors who fostered my playing style and passion for music. As a chamber, orchestral, and solo cellist, I have had the opportunity to play with amazing musicians and gain much experience refining my tone and technique and exploring my musicality.

At the most fundamental level I believe music to be a rewarding source of joy. No matter the age, background, or skill, cello is something that anyone can make their own with determination, patience, and passion.

I am energetic, fun-loving, patient, and encouraging. I take interest in those I work with and foster the individual to celebrate their accomplishments, push through challenges, and grow in meaningful ways

About Marc
Hi I'm Marc, a professional French hornist & founder of a music edtech startup in San Francisco.

I am so excited about helping musicians learn and achieve their goals. Everybody has musical talent. But far too often, music learners don't get the right teacher to help them express that talent.

Even though I started playing music at age 5, my own talents stayed hidden for far too long. I struggled at music all through middle school and high school. When I was 18, I went to Northwestern and studied learning sciences.

Ho ho ho! After graduating I applied science to learning French horn, studied at America's #1 music school (Indiana University), and got a full time orchestra job in just 2 years. I played 6 seasons with Hong Kong Philharmonic. I also served as Professor of Horn at HK Baptist University.

After learning Kung Fu & Yog
a, I applied those to music, and my career went even further. I've recorded & toured with San Francisco Symphony, played with Yo-Yo Ma, and even run my own music learning camps.

As an experienced teacher, attendee of the Frost School of Music, USM School of Music graduate, and professional performer, music arranger, and recording engineer, I will focus our lessons around essential, foundational skills including sight-reading, ear-training, music theory, pla
ying technique, and more - but always in a way that is fun, natural, and incorporated into the music we're playing, and at an age/skill-appropriate level. Music may be a vast art form, but you'd be surprised how much you can learn and accomplish just by taking the first step of getting started, which will open the door to a lifetime of enjoyment and inspiration. Where will your journey take you? Let's find out and get started!

Learn Music Theory:

Hi, and thank you for your interest in learning music theory with me! Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced musician, looking for help with a music theory class, or simply interested in learning more about this topic to enhance your own musical pursuits, this is a worthwhile subject to study.

The word "theory" sounds like it describes the opposite of an artistic process, but a basic foundational understand of music theory will actually greatly benefit you artistically, removing a lot of guesswork and confusion. At a pace that works for you and based on what is most relevant to your musical goals, our lessons will cover some of the basic music concepts: notes, chords, keys, time signature & tempo, rhythm, scales, and how to read music on a staff - incorporating listening and ear training skills as well as conceptual understanding. For students already familiar with these concepts, we can branch out into more advanced ear training skills and theory knowledge including interval and chord recognition, transcription, harmonic substitutions, modal harmony, secondary dominants, harmonic analysis, songwriting, and more. However you plan to apply this knowledge, we will come up with an individual plan tailored to your goals, so you can be a comfortably confident musician!
