I've been teaching piano for over 13 years. I use Alfred's Premier Piano Courses levels 1 - 6 for children. For adults I use Alfred's Lesson Book 1 - 3. My teaching goals for all my students are to enable them to read and make music so that they could experience the joy of journeying in the realm of musical sounds.
My philosophy in teaching piano is very much like learning to drive a car. Once a person learns the mechanism of driving so many possibilities open for the person to enjoy trips to many places that bring pleasures that destiny could offer. In some ways, playing the piano is very much like learning to drive a car. Once the mechanism of making music is mastered, the possibilities of making journeys of musical sound is endless.

Heather is patient and kind. She brings both technical and people skills to our practice sessions. If one of my family members or close friends asked me recommend a piano teacher, with no hesitation, I would enthusiastically reccomend Heather.

Heather was wonderful in getting me back into the piano! As an older student I was apprehensive at first, but she was very positive and made me very comfortable. She was very helpful and brought me a long way in a short period of time.

About Daniel

I love teaching, I can teach you at where you at and take you where you need to be. I only need a student with the desire to learn and to practice. I like to help students realize they have the intelligence and ability to solve the problems on their own, they just need the right direction. Nothi

I’ve always struggled with math. It was no surprise that I had significant trouble with the GRE Quantitive section. I had tried one tutor before working with Daniel. I ended up getting the same score that I had on past tests and I felt that I was never going to get past the hurdle. I decided to find another tutor and after looking around a while and messaging several tutors on TakeLessons I connected with Daniel. Hands down he has the best methods for how I learn. He provides lesson plans, homework, and goes through every problem step by step to ensure that you are comprehending. He also tests your knowledge by having you basically teach him what you’ve learned. If you can’t explain it, then you don’t know it, is what he says. It has been awesome working with him and I enthusiastically recommend him to anyone that needs help with math at any level.

Are you a beginner guitar player just looking for some guidance?

Or maybe you've been playing for a little while and you just don't sound how you want to sound. And you're unsure of how to get to where you want to be.

Or maybe you're a songwriter, who just can't seem to get those great ideas to come to life.

I've been playing guitar for close to 15 years now. I immediately feel in love with my new hobby and studied formally under a performing rock / bluesgrass guitarist for four years. At the age of 19, I won the Rutgers University talent show (Instrumental category) for an improvised solo.

I'm 29 now and have spent that time continuing to sharpen my skills and knowledge relative to the guitar. For me, it is a long-term committment to mastery. A journey I gladly know will never be over.

I currently perform several shows a week as a solo act, using my own written material.

All lessons are customizable to cater to individual student needs. But here is a small sample of EXACTLY ...

"For many years I have tried to learn guitar from books, DVD's and YouTube videos. I even tried a guitar shop instructor. It pretty much got me all kinds of confused with guitar. Then I found out Stacey offers guitar lessons online. Stacey has worked hard to undo all my bad habits and show me the proper techniques. He has taught me to use my ears and not depend on tablature for learning songs and create music. At the end of every lesson he makes sure I totally understand what needs to be practiced for the week. I am not only very thankful to have such a great teacher but one who is as amazing of a guitarist as Stacey"
