I have been taking lessons from Tim for both piano and voice for over a year. Tim is a fantastic instructor, combining both piano and voice in every lesson. I have many years of classical voice training, and continuing my training with Tim has been incredibly fun because he challenges me with new styles and techniques. I was self-taught on piano, and Tim has done a great job teaching me at my level of experience.

John is an excellent teacher. I’m a real beginner, and , instead of acting bored with my level of “playing”, he was very encouraging. His instruction is clear and precise. He had me transitioning between four different chords in my first half hour! So pleased!

Hello and Welcome! Learning violin is very fun and rewarding, I would be happy to help you on this journey! For beginning students, we start by learning the fundamentals of violin including: violin set up, left hand and right hand techniques, best posture, and becoming comfortable with playing the strings. We then advance to a violin book of choice, to learn music reading, playing techniques, and enjoyable songs.
For intermediate to advanced students, I will adjust the lessons according to the student's needs. We will discuss what you've already learned, what you would like to learn, and choose music of your liking. We will focus on best left hand practices, bowing techniques, intonation, vibrato, and music reading.
I look forward to meeting you soon and helping you achieve your goals!

We begin with exercises to develop technique and train for agility, musicality and music theory. Classical music is used but not exclusively as we explore the many different genres of music! Ear training is also offered so that the student may be able to play by ear as well as reading music.

"Dave is unquestionably the best teacher I have ever had in the 60+ years that I have been playing the clarinet. Although I had been away from playing for some time, Dave provided gentle advice and direction that has significantly improved my technique, tone, and musicianship as well as my confidence as a clarinetist. Dave is able to establish a great rapport with his students both mature and young. He understands their needs and goals and helps them achieve those goals. Thanks to Dave's encouragement and help, I was recently accepted as a member of a fine regional symphonic band. Above all, a lesson with Dave is not only instructive--it's also fun."

"Ace professional with first class treatment

Tim is a phenomenal instructor! I have tried expensive videos subscription services and have spent hundreds of dollars on Skype lessons with popular YouTube instructors. In the year that I have been playing, one month of lessons with Tim did more for my playing than 11 months with the other methods I've tried. You owe it to yourself to give Tim a month of your time. He transformed my understanding of the guitar, has taught me to be self-sufficient with learning songs I hear, and has made playing exciting. Without being able to articulate exactly what I wanted to accomplish, Tim's uncanny intuition for balancing what I think I needed with what I really need took my playing to the next level very quickly. Nothing can substitute the depth of his musical knowledge, but more importantly, his keen sense of feeding me just what I need from everything he knows. Tim carefully plans out a lesson for me based off of my progress, has me take notes, and gives me ideas on how to improve before my next lesson. The most exciting day of my week is the hour I spend learning from a great instructor and a great human being. I couldn't be happier with my decision to learn how to play from Tim."
