Book NowI have been teaching professionally for the past six years. As a student who struggled myself in nearly every aspect of education, I understand the importance of individualized learning. As a teacher and performer, I look to find relationships between the emotional and intellectual facets of music. By doing this, I try to uncover the mystery of violin playing, allowing my students to gain an understanding that will last with them forever.
Every single student posseses the potential to fulfill his or her violinistic dreams. I cater my teaching around the goals of each student, while still instilling a high artistic integrity.
Though I center each lesson around building a superior technical foundation, duet playing, the theory of harmony, and aural skills are integral parts of my teaching. I strive for my students to develope a beautiful, in-tune, pure sound that can directly connect to their own emotional palette.

Book NowI am a professional violinist and violist. I learned to play viola when I was 13 and our school music teacher was forming a string quartet. We had many terrific violinists at the school but no violists so I volunteered to learn. It opened up many worlds and opportunities for me. I received a big scholarship because I played viola when I did my Masters Degree at Boston U. I got chances to travel abroad that were only because I played viola. So it’s a wonderful thing for students to add if they already play violin or to switch to if they prefer the deeper, darker sound. Have fun! Add opportunities to your life!

Art is a wonderful teacher!! He is enthusiastic, reliable, knowledgeable and very personable. I feel extremely fortunate to have found Art to teach my 4 year old daughter.
My daughter has been eager to start learning the piano. I needed to find someone that is able to teach at her young level and to be able to connect with her shy personality. Amazingly, Art is able to make her laugh, smile, learn and have fun all at the same time!
My daughter has fun learning and we often find her practicing on her own at the piano. Actually, she considers it playtime at the piano! She is learning simple songs after just a few lessons. She is very proud of her ability to play and is always eager to see Art so that she can learn more.
I HIGHLY recommend Art as a piano teacher. It is obvious that he loves music, this is evident in his weekly teachings. As a parent, I couldn't be happier!!! Art is setting a firm foundation for our daughter's love for music."
