I've taught people who were just beginning violin (both children and adults) to students who were working on major concertos. What is most important to me as a teacher is that the student connect with the music and their instrument by being creative and personalizing my approach for the student. I also strongly strive to make performers out of violinists and to help them engage both audiences and themselves.
About Ha-eun
I have been surrounded by music my whole life and have played violin for 20 years. I went to high school at the Interlochen Arts Academy, obtained a BM in violin performance at Oberlin Conservatory and an MM at the Boston Conservatory. I have won competitions, played in professional orchestras, per

Book NowAs an Orchestral conductor, I served as Music Director of the University of Texas University Orchestra and enrolled in several conducting competitions. In our lesson, I will lead you to understand the meaning of the score and explore the music's intention. Practically, this lesson including conducting technique, interpretation, score study, analysis, rehearsal technique, stage deportment, and musician interaction. All students receive equal opportunity in a completely transparent organization.
I strongly encourage instrumental players to learn how to conduct. It will not only give you the power to teach young ensembles, also enhance your ability to analyze the pieces you're playing. Please shoot me a message if you are currently interested in Musical Conducting.

The main focus of the private lessons is music theory and how it applies to the instrument. All the while trying to remain fun. Therefore, the musical style/genre that the student is seeking is irrelevant. At Dennis O Guitar Instruction the goal is for the student to have an understanding of the music that they seek to learn and become an independent musician.

Brian is an incredible music teacher!! He is patient and kind and encouraging and his knowledge and passion for music is inspiring. He has taught me so much about guitar and piano and I am very grateful to be his student. I think Brian could teach music to anyone at any age and I highly recommend him as an amazing music teacher!"

My daughter, who is 13, once again loves playing piano thanks to Ilona. About 3 years ago, our first piano teacher moved away, and it was a major challenge replacing her. We tried 3 piano teachers over the past 3 years, before finding Ilona. Ilona is a breath of fresh air, a true professional and has an impeccable teaching style, second to none. My daughter is now practicing every day and can't wait for her weekly hour lesson. It is a pleasure and a privilege to have such an amazing individual teaching my daughter piano! We could not be happier. Ilona is definitely a class act!!"
