Within just a few lessons, she developed an insight into how to help me, and we began to make real progress. I now have a specific pathway in which I am confident that with persistent work, I can overcome this problem. Jen has real insight into the human voice, and true compassion and patience when working with others.

I have performed in lead roles in opera and musical theater productions, rock/indie bands, choirs, and as a singer-songwriter. Through singing and studying in these different vocal styles, I have developed a unique teaching method that can help train your voice no matter what type of music you prefer to sing. I teach voice because I love helping people to discover and reach their full potential!

About Jordan
I have a strong passion for teaching. There's nothing more fulfilling than helping students progress and reach their full potential! I have taught in classical, musical theater, and pop for several years now, and I am confident that if you come into my studio ready to work, you will greatly improve your singing technique.

From my experience performing and teaching in opera, musical theater, and pop styles, I strongly believe that they are more connected than some people think, and that your voice will greatly benefit from working in more than one genre. I am currently studying at New England Conservatory for my Master's degree in Vocal Performance with an emphasis in Vocal Pedagogy. Along with classical singing, I have written an EP of original songs called "Honesty" that can be found on my singer-songwriter page here: www.jordanreynol

After teaching for over a decade, I promise you there is no such thing as not having a talent to sing. When people desperately want to sing and constantly do something about it, miracles happen. Some of my students have changed their lives through singing, and went a journey from being seemingly hopeless into gigging and performing musicians.
In the lessons, we work on types of breathing, posture, stage presence and performing techniques, and we are having lots and lots of fun!

About Inna
Hello, and thank you for your interest!

My name is Inna, I'm a jazz and world vocalist, pianist and composer.

I come from family of musicians, and I have started exploring music since the age of 5. In addition to my classical studies in Russia, I won the only full tuition scholarship to study in famous Berklee College of Music in the competition that took place during Berklee Asia Scholarship Tour in 2010.

In Berklee I was deeply influenced and moved by Eastern European and Middle Eastern music, which lead to experimentations in fusing those genres with modal jazz and then later rock.

I studied Vocal Performance, and Contemporary Writing and Production, and I have over a decade of experience in teaching, and performing, so I look forward to working with you to develop your voice, piano, and composing/arranging skills!

Cur
rently I teach from my home studio in Boston, and I'm also available to come to your location.

I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

I am a current student of voice and composition at the Longy School of Music. I think it is very important these days to to teach students of any instrument repertoire written from the 20th century to today. Of course, I'll still teach you some of the standard repertoire, because it's fundamental and expected. However, I will also open doors to your repertoire you've probably never thought to open. I'll show you work by composers such as Amy Beach, Samuel Barber, and Roger Quilter. I, myself, am also a composer and I have many friends and colleagues who are composers of vocal repertoire. Therefore, not only will I show you works by 20th century masters, but also by composers who are currently alive. I will also teach you contemporary techniques such as straight-tone singing and sprechstimme.

About Quinn
I am a soprano, composer, and visual artist. I have a bachelors degree in composition with voice as my main instrument and I'm currently pursuing my Masters degree in Voice and Composition at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge.

For voice students, I focus on helping students explore their own unique sound, see what they can do with that sound and develop it fully. Other things I incorporate into my lessons are acting techniques, stage presence, ear training, and breathing techniques. Some genres I teach are contemporary classical, musical theater, cabaret, opera, baroque, and common-practice repertoire. Note: I will not take voice students under 12. These are the only lessons I teach with an age limit.

For composition students, I help them discover what their creative mind has to offer fo them. For beginner students, I'll give
them exercises that will both help in discovering what music can do and what imagination they have to unlock. For more advanced students, I'll help them with the music they're working on and I'll give them some assignments to take them out of their comfort zone.

For music theory, I can teach the basics all the way to advanced analysis. I can teach you how to read music, ear training, the harmonic series, scales and chords, counterpoint, 4-part harmony, and form and analysis. Whether you're completely new to the subject, need to pass your AP music theory test, or just need some extra theory tutoring, I'm here to help.

I can teach students either in their homes or in the practice rooms at Longy.
