Lesson was great. John is very patient and pleasant to be around and to follow his instructions is simple and informative. He is Very good at his craft, the most important thing about teaching is having the patience to teach anyone at any age at any level. That alone is a gift.

As a keyboard player who has played with John the last 20 years or so, I can honestly tell you John is an extremely talented guitarist. He can play any style of music and is very versatile and creative. He is a master of his instrument.

You won't find a more versatile or proficient guitarist then Johnny A... he can go from grimy dirty Zep type of licks to the mean and crisp GNR "Slash" types of riff... though I didn't work with him in a student/ capacity- I as well as many of the team we were working with were amazing by his discipline and ability to reproduce his performances... He would make a great teacher for any level player...and could even teach you old dogs a few new tricks to...

Andrei P.

Matawan, NJ

About Andrei

Teaching music is my passion, it is more than just a career. I value each student and the time I have with them; helping them to explore the world of music. Hopefully after each lesson, my students walk away with a deeper understanding of music theory and have enjoyed their time. I am available to teach Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Classical Guitar, Bass, Upright Bass, Banjo, Ukulele, Mandolin, and beginner Drums.

I am a husband and father. I teach all age ranges.

*** Lesson Details ***
I approach each lesson differently because every student is unique. During the initial lesson
I will begin to assess the student's ability, determine the best teaching technique for them, and setup a practicing at home guideline. My job is to help the student reach their individual goals and support them along the way. I feel every student deserves to learn to read music and I will concentrate on this with them.

Lessons are taught in my personal music studio; it is a laid-back, family friendly environment. There may be specific books and supplies I recommend purchasing (these will enhance the success of a budding musician). I will most likely also hand out sheet music of songs to practice and may recommend certain artists within specific genres for the students to listen to and familiarize themselves with.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in Classical/Flamenco guitar. I can teach many different styles such as Rock, Blues, Jazz, etc. I am always learning, and am willing to learn so that my students get the best experience they can get.

Andrei has been our weekly music teacher for more than three years. He teaches my son (now 9 years old) to read music and play the drums and the piano, and he teaches me to play the guitar.

Andrei has been nothing but reliable and generous with his time. He is proficient in music history and theory, in a wide range of musical styles, on multiple instruments. His patience, diverse knowledge and skills along with what appears to be an intuitive approach toward each of his varied students, has been very effective for us. Also, he knows A LOT of music, has a great ear and doesn't seem to mind working with us to play whatever tunes we come up with each week.

If you or your child wants to learn to play an instrument, this is the guy!

Rosemary C.

Matawan, NJ

About Rosemary

I have 30 yrs teaching experience PLUS the added expertise of being a performing pro singer! My students are signed recording artists AND people just starting out. I have taught in colleges and privately with an emphasis on pop/jazz/blues/rock/musical theater singing. I teach in such a way that students have told me they learn more in one lesson with me than in years of study somewhere else! You will not do needless voice exercises. We will use songs you like as teaching tools, giving you the opportunity to also expand your repertoire. My lessons are interesting and fun! Taking lessons from
someone who has been and is a real actively performing teacher makes all the difference in how well and how quickly you will get your act together! :-)

Chris is great. Easy going and very eager to pass on his knowledge about the guitar and also very passionate about the instrument. I definitely recommend learning from him. He'd help you develop a good base which will really be helpful as you advance.

I have known Christopher for the past 2 years. He is hands down the most solid guitar player I have ever worked with. Music is an integral part of his life day and night. His skills as a performer and composer are of the highest quality and he only keeps on polishing his craft. I have complete trust in him as a teacher for all ages and I hope he continues to bring and teach music to the world for the rest of his life.
