When I teach, I strive to help students learn the most efficient practice methods and to develop a healthy attitude towards learning music. Your progression on the instrument is what will take you to the next step. Either playing solo and chamber and orchestra have the same core values: beautiful tone production, fine intonation, pure rhythm, expressive playing, knowledge of musical styles, acute listening, excellent ensemble skills. If you study with me, I will help you master these concepts and techniques at your own pace and help you find your own musical voice through playing the viola/piano.

As a professional orchestral clarinetist and bass clarinetist, I am uniquely suited to help students master the basics of clarinet playing or to help more advanced students take their playing to new levels. I focus on building strong technique and broad musicianship that will serve learners of all ages and ability levels in any genre.

My violin and viola students study classical Russian technique--used by the best players in history. It involves efficient use of the body, both to avoid injury when playing and also to get the best possible sound from the instrument. Students progress in technique, musicality, and music theory.

Whether you are a complete beginner or a more advanced student looking to improve your skills and musicality, I can help you wherever you're at! I have been teaching violin for eight years and have both my bachelor's and master's degrees in violin performance. I am a Suzuki teacher and have been trained to teach students of all different levels. I stress a strong technical foundation in all my students through correct posture and relaxation while playing. I am a classically trained violinist and teacher, but can teach other genres as well!

Do you wanna learn how to write a song? I would love to help you! I wrote my first song when I was 8. Now many years later I have a Bachelor degree in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music. I would love to share my passion with you and bring your skills and creativity to the next level.
We will work on form, phrasing, melody, lyrics, rhymes and much more to make your song stand out!

I have taught private piano lessons for many years and I enjoy sharing my love of music with my students. I teach ages 5 to 80 and all levels. I emphasize sightreading, rhythm, musical expression, technique and music theory. Music theory includes chords and scales. The student is also encouraged to write their own songs. I use the Faber, Alfred and Bastien method books. When the student can read easy music on the staff, additional popular songs can be added. Intermediate and Advanced students can play classical pieces or other sheet music of their choice. The student has the opportunity to play in two recitals each year.
