Songwriting can seem so mysterious. Where do ideas come from? How do you create chord progressions that work? Do you just have to be born a songwriter? Songwriting is like any other skill. It can be taught, practiced and honed. I love working with students to help them discover their own musical creativity.
About Evan
I am a singer, songwriter and guitarist. I love folk music, bluegrass, country, blues and all forms of Americana! One of the best things about folk music is it's meant to be shared with others. I've been mastering these forms of music for the past ten years. *** Lesson Details *** Developing gr

Evan is patient, understanding and most of all an excellent teacher. He rolls with you at your pace. I feel I have learned more from him with my banjo in a very short period of time than I have learned in a couple of years of guitar. He is fantastic!!
He is very good teacher. I would recommended him to anyone.
I have had two lessons with Evan so far, and I always schedule my next lesson at the end of each session, as I'm so excited to go back and learn more. Not only are the lessons very informative, and helpful, but he sends me home with video of what we had gone over in the day. This is extremely helpful! When I practice, I have something to revert back to, to help me remember exactly everything he taught me.

The biggest compliment I can give Miss Cindy is that when I ask my son how his class went, he says "fun"!! He practices everyday . . . without prompting. He's always eager to play for anyone who'll listen. He really enjoys the piano and he especially enjoys taking lessons with Miss Cindy. If you're trying to find you're child's passion, Cindy's Music School is a good place to start."

I am over 50 years of age and decided to take up playing the guitar. David is extremely patient and very enthusiastic which makes learning fun (imagine that). Highly recommended"
