Five reasons why my lessons can be a unique experience, if, and only if:
1- You are looking for a professionally trained performing artist and instructor (with more than 25 years of experience teaching ranging from beginner toddlers at home to advanced musicians in academic studio setting) who is fun to work with.
2- You look for an individualized approach tailored to your musical needs (Piano Technique, sight-singing, Score reading, Theory, Aural skills).
3- You or your child are busy and want to make the best of your time learning or practicing and therefore need a well-disciplined teacher who can match your schedule; I have a strong Time Management & Follow up System for the lessons. (My philosophy specially for beginners : If it is not measurable , it is not done the right way. )
4- You actively and carefully read the details (of education and teaching experience) of instructors profile and ask for reviews because you care enough for your time and money to know the ...

Ardlan is extremely accomplished and is truly the best piana teacher I've experienced. He explains techniques and the reasons for them so well!

I cannot express strongly enough how lucky we feel to have had Ard as our children’s piano instructor. We have two children, 9 and 11, and they had both been taking piano lessons for years before we moved to the Indianapolis area. While we really enjoyed the children's first teacher, Ard truly taught on another level. He is an absolute professional - reliable, accomplished, experienced.. Within the first few weeks, Ard was able to accurately identify my children's strengths and weaknesses and design individualized learning programs for both of them and they both improved greatly with his help.

Ard is just wonderful with the children. He was able to teach them at their level with an enthusiasm, kindness, and insightfulness that engaged them immediately. And, although Ard has a playful side with the children, he was also very serious about learning music, and there were very clear expectations for the children. The lessons were a perfect blend of fun and learning.

Ard is not only an incredibly talented musician, but also a passionate, energetic, and wonderfully interesting person. If we ever move back to the area, we would call on Ard again in a heartbeat.

Students will be taught how to play using both 2 mallets and then move to 4. We will go over different exercises, scales, and solos to help them progress.

About Alex

Alex was born May 31, 1987. Since both of his parents were band directors, he grew up in a very musically inclined family. When he was 15 years old, during his freshman year of high school, he started studying percussion. A year later he began studying under Chad Kohler and continued to do so until

I graduated with a degree in music performance in 2019, and have over 13 years of playing experience and 5 years of teaching experience (ranging from student as young as 5 years old). Outside of music, I am a medical student (M.D.). I enjoy using music as an outlet and teach trumpet lessons because it is my passion!

As a teacher, my goal is to help not only facilitate musical interpretation and technical skills on the trumpet but also help foster a student's life-long love for music. I believe that students should not only progress technically but foster a sense of who they are as performers, regardless of their level.

As a performer, I have played in symphony orchestras, in the pit for musicals such as Pippin, Into the Woods, and The Music Man, and private gigs. I've received training in performance anxiety and overcoming fear of public performance and would be happy to discuss techniques.

About Moriah

I offer individualized lessons and am passionate about helping students' achieve their goals!. I try to provide affordable lesson prices so that financial concerns never inhibit students' ability to progress and reach their potential! Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Students can expect that they will improve with me if diligent and focuses practice is put in every day. I will recommend books and tools to help them improve, as well as fundamental warm-ups and daily practice exercises designed to help them progress as quickly as they can (provided they are done correctly!).

The trombone has a wonderful sound, but there is a bit of a learning curve due to the slide (even though making that glissando/slide sound is a ton of fun). I am dedicated to work with my students to help them navigate the challenges that come from not having valves like the other brass instruments so they can really make the trombone sing!

About Daniel

Whether you are just looking to learn a new skill or make a living as a professional, I am passionate about helping my students to find their path in life as music makers. To me, this means bringing the music off the page, and finding/playing what has not been written in ink. Music is about more tha

"Claire has been an extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and flexible teacher! I started lessons a few months ago and have struggled with nerves, projection, and breathing all of which we've been able to work on virtually. I have felt so much progress working through stage freight, and I even recorded myself singing and listed to it after our last lesson (which I never thought I'd have the guts to do)! She has been absolutely incredible to work with making sure to prioritize whatever I am looking to get out of the lessons. As someone who has never taken voice lessons before, I have gained exposure to new techniques as well as learning my vocal range and what pitches work best for my voice. Definitely recommend!!!"

"Mark is an amazing instructor. He is a master at Pro Tools and has fun, intuitive memory tricks to help you navigate Pro Tools efficiently and effectively. Not only is he great at Pro Tools, but he has a lot of experience in all facets of music production. He certainly has a lot of interesting anecdotes related to any of the music topics at hand. He is extremely knowledgeable, yet he breaks down complicated concepts into something that anyone can understand (and more importantly remember). I really enjoyed the time I spent with Mark. I strongly encourage you to sign up for lessons with him. You'll learn not only about the topic at hand, but also gain an interesting perspective on things you wouldn't have thought of before."

"I have had the pleasure and privilege of working with Emily over the past couple of years at the Ithaca College Summer Music Academy. As both a former counselor and now an instructor, Emily has such a good way of working with students of any age, as well as adults who happen to be her colleagues. She never fails to put a smile on anyone's face, and from the times I have heard her play clarinet, bass clarinet, and saxophone, I have always been blown away by her musicality, talent, and yearn to expose interesting and unexpected works to those who ordinarily wouldn't have the chance to hear them. She is a multi-talented person both inside and out, and I would fully recommend her in any capacity you might seek."

A Brief History of A Cappella

Over the past few years, a cappella has become a popular genre and trend. But what exactly is it? The term a cappella is an Italian term that means "in the manner of the church" or "in the manner of the chapel," referring to the type of music that is sung without the use of musical instruments. History tells us that a cappella music got its beginning in a religious setting, but the genre continues to grow and change as shows like Glee and movies like Pitch Perfect move the style into popular c …

Can Yoga Help You Sing Better?

For months now, the Billboard chart has looked pretty similar each week, with Adele perched at the #1 spot with her hit album 21. Adele has maintained that spot for 18 weeks now,  needing only 3 more weeks to pass previous records made by the Bodyguard soundtrack and Elvis Presley's Blue Hawaii. With an accomplishment like this, we don't see her leaving the spotlight for some time. As a singer, you've no doubt heard about the importance of proper breathing.  In fact, deep breathing can he …
