I have over two decades of experience teaching signing at all levels. I have been very successful in teaching students to learn and acquire good expressive and receptive sign skills. I am very passionate about the success of my students. I use strategies that make learning signing fun and very interesting. I keep my students very involved and engaged in my lessons. New sign vocabulary and sign structures I teach are immediately modeled and put into practice, which enhances students' retention. I pace my lessons to ensure the learning styles of the students are very well accommodated. I use approaches that foster deeper level of thinking and understanding of the use of signing in various contexts. I treat all my students with due regard, acceptance, and caring support. Their success in acquiring good sign language skills is very important to me. I provide one-on-one support to achieve that goal when required.

Dr. Eleweke is a wonderful instructor. He takes the time to explain things if you do not understand and he truly cares about his students. He makes learning fun and finds ways to make content relevant. I learned a lot from his online ASL classes last year and still use ASL today because of our lessons and practice that helped me be able to retain it.

Dr. E is an amazing instructor! I was lucky enough to have him for 2 years. He is very patient, kind, supportive, and passionate. His class was always fun and I loved learning about deaf culture. Definitely one of my favorite professors!

Without a doubt, this is the most thoughtful and passionate professor you'll ever have. Dr. E supports all of his students tremendously and ensures that we understand the language and the class. I took him consistently for six classes and I loved every minute of it. I always wanted to learn sign and finally I was able to!! I cannot recommend him enough.

Everything went well until we decided to do in home classes. After we paId him upfront he canceled a couple of time then he rescheduled a virtual class where he never showed up, we texted him and 20 minutes later he sent a text letting us know he was too busy And couldn’t continue teaching my daughter. We asked for the refund which we haven’t received yet. He is a good teacher just very unprofessional. we didn’t lose that much money but he hurt my daughter since she looking forward to learn from him. I wouldn’t recommend him.

I have been performing and teaching on horn for the past 15 years throughout the country. Whether a student is starting out brand new, switching from another instrument, or has experience on horn we will develop great technique as horn players. I have experience specifically with students switching over to French horn from other brass instruments. I began on trumpet in 4th grade and didn't switch to horn until high school. We will build confidence in our sound through solid fundamentals and developing a consistent practice routine.

About Austin

Austin studied Horn Performance at the DePaul University School of Music in Chicago, IL. He was able to study from members of both the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, as well the Lyric Opera of Chicago. During his time there he performed in many orchestras and chamber groups, including the Chicago Symph

Your understanding and cooperation is greatly appreciated.

I have been playing piano since the age of six. Originally classically trained, I made a change to learning Jazz after hearing it on the radio one night while still in high school.

I began my teaching career in 2007, providing private piano instruction to beginners at a small, privately owned music school in Laurel, Maryland.

After the school closed it's doors in the Fall of 2011, I continued working with many of the students privately. It is these efforts I continue to this day.

Having the opportunity to work 1 on 1 with students and see their progression and development on a week to week basis is a truly, rewarding ...

I want my students to develop a reliable technique so that they can accomplish anything that they would want to perform. I think technique is the most reliable base you can have for a lasting and enjoyable vocal career. I am interested in what you want to learn as well as your vocal aspirations. I cannot wait to work with you!‚Äč

For students that are younger (elementary-middle school) I recommend 30-45 minutes.

"A year ago, after a long 40 year or so break, I returned to my violin.
My professional career has nothing to do with music. Learning violin again is a hard work. The physical challenge is there, the ability rapidly to develop muscle tone and memory “sadly just isn’t there anymore.” My right arm is as stiff as a 2x4 stud and left fingers slip. So, lighting dashes over strings will take longer – much longer - to perfect.

But, Tigran reminded me that he has not found any shortcuts and he has been looking for a long time. I resumed very basic finger exercises and routine scales. And the results were very slow but the reward was there.

Tigran is very structured and systematically approaching how to improve the intonation and tonal quality. So, I am happy to leave it up to him to take the lead."

She is dedicated, committed, and with a great teaching attitude. Always arrives on time and ready to start.

A big plus for Sarabeth, is that my 2 daughters have autism, and she is able to engage with them pretty effectively, and redirect them when needed as their attention and focus shifts.

I fully recommend her for Piano lessons and for kids in the Autism spectrum!"

5 Keys to Mastering Opera Singing Technique

Opera singers are known as the true “vocal athletes” in the music world. They must rely entirely on their body to be heard: no microphones allowed. (Unless they’re performing in a stadium, of course)! Operatic singing requires voices that can easily be heard over a full orchestra in very large houses. Although pop music dominates today’s televised talent shows and the radio, opera is still a celebrated art form that is more accessible than ever. Every year, many young singers begi …

5 Reasons Learning Barre Chords Is Easier Than You Think

Learning guitar barre chords, or chords created while clamping down all six strings with your index finger, intimidates many guitar students. However, these new chords don't need to be so scary! Austin guitar teacher Samuel B. breaks down five reasons why learning barre chords is not so bad... I maintain little to no doubt that learning guitar barre chords is the most challenging advance for a student.
