Studied Classical Flute Performance at the Bob Cole Conservatory of music for 2 years (though my education was cut short because of COVID 19), and I passed the audition to the Manhattan School of Music. I am an experienced flute teacher of 3 years and have taught beginning to intermediate levels. I would love to pass down what I've learned from my many previous flute teachers. I can help you get into the music school of your dreams, or we can simply play the flute and I'll help you sound better. I love all types of music, and I am open to whatever you might want to learn. Looking forward to meeting you, and I feel I have a lot to offer my future students.

My goal as a voice teacher is to create a positive environment in my studio where my students can reach all of the goals that they set out to achieve. It is important for my students to feel a warm, welcoming atmosphere, where they can make mistakes, take risks, and ask questions. The art of singing is a whole-body experience and it is essential for students to train and practice like an athlete would train for a high-level event. I encourage my students to do some sort of physical activity that has an emphasis on the abdominal muscles (i.e. yoga, pilates, tai chi, weight routine), so that they feel what it is like to use the whole body as well as strengthen their core muscles. This directly relates to an appoggio based breath support, which is the technique I utilize in my own singing and in my studio. I teach my students to use their entire body when they sing. I believe that students should practice physicality with gestures, so they can get connected to their whole body and ...

Tony has been my sons (age 8) instructor for months and we can not say enough positive things about him. My son is very shy and Tony was able to make him comfortable from his very first lesson. I have seen Tony play with his own band and he is an impressive showman. I can see where he can be able to teach and be comfortable with any level of player - from beginner to advanced. Thanks again Tony!"

Thinking about taking guitar lessons? It's one of the most popular instruments for beginners! While it's pretty easy to pick up the guitar and start plucking, if you really want to master the chords and songs you hear from your favorite artists, working with an experienced guitar teacher is important. Here, Brooklyn guitar teacher Amit P. discusses six of the most common questions new guitar players have before starting lessons... 1. "Am I too young or too old to start learning …
