Elizabeth is very kind and a great teacher. She explains nicely and at a level the student understands. She gives challenging 'homework', but not unrealistic. Highly recommended!!!

Elizabeth is an amazing teacher! She was/is able to identify my learning style and meet me where I am musically. She keeps me challenged but successful in my endeavor. Elizabeth is VERY patient and kind and encouraging. I was hesitant about fulfilling my dream of playing the harp (as an adult learner), but am very excited about the progress I am making thanks to her. Elizabeth makes me believe in myself and my ability to learn to play and enjoy the harp!

Hello! I would like to know if this teacher can teach me. I have an eight string lily harp and am a beginner. Thanks! :) (You must know I have not had a lesson, but rated her 5 stars anyway, just asking a question)
Garine A. Winter Garden, FL

About Garine

I am a music educator. I received my Bachelor’s in Music Education from the University of Central Florida in 2011. My higher education started in the Fall of 2006 when I began attending Daytona Beach Community College. My two years there were spent fully engaged in all activities. I finished my GED requirements while participating in many ensembles like the Ormond Beach Symphony Orchestra, Daytona Beach Community College Concert Band, Brass Ensemble, Falcon Pans (steel drum ensemble), Pit Orchestra for musicals, and Choir. All of these ensembles helped me increase my awareness of many different teaching and directing styles. I enjoyed participating in the college’s annual Medieval Yuletide Feast while playing the trombone, tuba, and singing in the choir. These experiences augmented my ...

Great personality and very upbeat. Could use a little more structure and I maybe a book for the new students. Probably very good with students that have some experience already and can improvise.

Excellent Teacher

Dennis is an all around great teacher. He is easy and comfortable to work with, but knows exactly how and when to get things done. Most importantly for me, Dennis was able to let me know which things I needed to work on to better my musicianship while also helping me figure out how to utilize what I had already accomplished to achieve new goals. As a metal player getting into jazz improvisation I had some really strong skills and many things that needed serious work. Dennis was able to help me use my strengths from previous experience to become better at something entirely new.
Mindful of tradition, but more interested in innovation, Dennis has a vast knowledge of modern styles, chord progressions, chord shapes, and scales you can't just learn from any guitar teacher. You can hear it on his record; Dennis is just as much of an individual in his playing as he is in his teaching. Unfortunately due to relocation I can no longer take lessons from Dennis but he got the ball rolling for me into new worlds of guitar playing and musical thinking that has been incredibly valuable to me.

Guitar Instructor

I decided to re-kindle my guitar playing skills after putting down the instrument for several years and not knowing what results to expect. I was amazed to find my ability to play quickly returning while taking lessons with Dennis. He was patient, encouraging and always professional and courteous. I am now practicing every day and continue to progress. I would encourage anyone seeking a skilled and talented instructor to sign up with Dennis. He has versatility with many different styles of playing and accomplished at them all.

Take Lessons From This Guy!

I was fortunate to meet Dennis and partake in six months of intensive weekly sessions which were no-nonsense. My instrument of choice is the acoustic and electric guitar.

Dennis adds a shade of color to the audible realm of musical expression that invites all practitioners to give ear to Dennis' command of the guitar. Ask him what he's been working on lately and he will show you something; it's more than enough to inspire you to keep learning and discover your own musical voice.

Dennis was humble in sharing his credentials and is a continuous student of learning himself. He clearly shows no bias and imparts his knowledge to anyone willing to learn.

Due to relocation, we could no longer meet up in person for lessons. But now that Dennis is geared up to provide teaching services online, I can still effectively take lessons regardless of location.

Liam taught guitar lessons to one of my daughters for a couple of years, and I personally played with him for several years in our church's praise team. He's both a gifted teacher and a talented musician, and his passion is clear for both. What's perhaps most impressive is the ease and grace he displays when either teaching or playing; he makes it all look and feel easy. Equally impressive is the breadth of his musical knowledge and styles. He's equally versed with all types of music, from classical to jazz to some of the more contemporary artists like Mandisa.

Liam was one of my many guitar instructors. But it was always apparent to me that Liam stands out. Liam and I did lessons for over a year in New Hampshire when I was about 14. His knowledge and understanding of music never ceased to blow my mind. When I was a young guitarist, Liam's patience gave me a great environment to learn and grow. Later, we connected for a few more lessons before I went to college at age 17, and Liam really helped me when I was at a different stage in my ability. His versatility is amazing. Usually, versatility comes at the price of depth, but that is not so, with Liam. He cares about music, and he cares about teaching, and has the talent and knowledge to pass that on. Outstanding teacher.

Rosely is a fantastic piano teacher. Both my boys (age 13 and age 9) took lessons and they have a better understanding and appreciation of music due to her guidance and teaching. She works well with children of all ages and skill levels, and she takes the time to explain and help the students understand the music.
