Jacob C. Gibbsboro, NJ

About jacob

The first time I played a drum set was in 3rd grade music class. I was hooked. I now love the feeling of getting a piece of music, scratching through it a few times, making mistakes, fixing mistakes, rehearsing, rehearsing more, then playing it on stage for a stale audience that ends screaming for an encore. In Elementary School I experienced 2 types of music lessons. #1 Lessons that were too structured and boring because students were not able to have success at each lesson. The focus was on the structure vs. enjoyment. #2 Lessons that were very fun and challenging to work towards because students could see progress each week. From that experience I am very confident that my enthusiasm towards learning percussion will be challenging and rewarding. My music career has ...

Mark S. Philadelphia, PA

About Mark

Learning music, especially at a young age, can have a positive impact in life. From simply playing music in the home to performing music for large audiences, the basic goal is the same: the enjoyment of being a proficient musician. I have written a bit about my experience and how I can use this to help you to become a great musician. I began studying music when I was 8 years old. My early lessons taught me not only about music but about music teaching. As a result of these experiences, I vowed to teach students music that is meaningful to them. Moving along, in high school I played in rock bands with my friends. I can never stress how important it is to play with other people. I always encourage my students to ...

Mark has been great! I don't fit easily into a student level because I have had some piano training before -- but not in a long time. He has picked up very quickly on my skill level and has been very good about letting me pick my own music and helping me to learn. I feel that I am progressing as fast--or eve faster--than I had hoped. I highly recommend him for piano!

Tim is great, he is teaching my son so much, he loves going to his lessons and learns so much from Tim, he taught him how to read music and the different types of drums and the different sounds they make, He tells everyone he is taking drum lessons. Tim answers any questions we may have and knows the drums very well, he is also very flexible and outgoing, Tirstan has lots of fun and enjoys his lessons very much. I will recommend Tim to anyone who is looking for a drum instructor.

Tim is a great teacher. He introduced Teddy to the different types of drums and cymbals. He allowed Teddy to play the different drums so that he could hear that each drum has a different sound. He also showed him how could change the pitch of the drum. Teddy really enjoys his lessons.
Jeffrey W. Haddon Heights, NJ

About Jeffrey

My background is as a classically trained singer and voice teacher. I have studied with numerous leading voice teachers and singers in the United States. I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Florida State University in Voice Performance and I studied for my Doctorate in Musical Arts in Vocal Pedagogy from The University of Miami. My teaching style focuses on making sure that the different parts of the voice are working correctly then focusing on the coordination of the entire system working together. Whether you are preparing for an important singing engagement or just trying to ...

Jeffrey rocks! I'm 59 and after a lifetime of not properly singing, I'm finally learning how to correctly sing and protect my instrument. It has been about three months and I've improved exponentially. Jeffrey accepts you at whatever level you are at and brings you along from there. He is knowledgable, patient, and always positive!

Excellent teacher! I couldn't be more elated with my decision in choosing Jeffrey for my singing instructor. Not only does he possess highly impressive credentials but he has an amazing way of combining his highly trained teaching ability with his wonderful ability to make you feel comfortable, confidant and at ease. Each week I am amazed at his teaching technique, his engaging personality and his obvious eagerness in helping you achieve your goals. Have had a couple of vocal coaches in the past however Jeffrey is by far the most outstanding teacher I've had and feel privileged to have found him. Thank you, Jeffrey!

Mary is very knowledgeable and personable. She gives excellent instruction and gentle correction in a way that makes you want to do your best in every aspect of the learning process. Mary is also very attentive to your needs and your development as a student. She knows when to allow for the errors that a beginner like myself will make, and when to present challenges that will push you, and show you that your skill and talent are growing. She also gives homework assignments that will help you grow your talent when you're in between lessons, which I really appreciate. I absolutely recommend Mary to anyone wishing to take music lessons!
