He is a very patient teacher. And he's very flexible on his schedule by moving our schedule to an earlier time because we had a prior engagement in the afternoon. And most of all, my daughter now knows the basics and we will most likely contact him again in case we decide to continue guitar lessons.

About Nikola
Nikola M is locally recognized as a guitarist extraordinaire that specializes in teaching and performing progressive rock. Nikola's proven teaching methods have been acknowledged by San Diego's finest musicians and his students range from beginners to highly accomplished professionals.

In addition to stints in various rock bands, studio session work and 16 years of playing experience, Nik's development of teaching guitar was made possible by having achieved a firm musical background throughout his earlier years of performing with orchestra ensembles. As a classically trained brass player, Nikola studied music under college guitar professor Gary Tuttle and award winning SDSC band director/guitarist Phillip S. Marcus.

Nikola's client list has included the likes of music producer and composer Toby Weiss (son of jazz legend and Guitar I
nstitute of Technology co founder Joe Diorio) pro touring guitarist Christopher Eck of the band Masterguru, former students of guitar virtuosos Greg Howe and Joe Stump and many other serious amateur and professional musicians.

*** Lesson Details ***
Heavily influenced by legendary virtuoso guitarists Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen, Nikola's goal as a teacher is to convey his knowledge and expertise of the guitar on to others while emphasizing his own style, which exemplifies speed, intensity and finesse. While his exploits in rock guitar gymnastics continue to attract and inspire new players, Nik's approach to teaching is simplistic, yet highly effective and suitable for young beginners and adults of all ages.

Nikola M's guitar lessons are professional, insightful, progressive and cover a wide and exciting spectrum including:

About Mia
I am a professional singer and actress with opera and musical theater credits. Singing is my passion! I love to sing, and I LOVE to teach others to sing! The human voice is the most natural instrument of all, and helping others to bring out the beauty of the natural instrument that lies within them is something to which I am very devoted. I like to make students feel comfortable and at ease in lessons, and you will find that I am very warm and friendly!

Every student is unique, with their own strengths, their own areas for improvement, and their own preference for certain styles of singing. I can help you find what style makes your heart sing!

I have a broad range of credits, including the Broadway National Tour of Fiddler On The Roof with Theodore Bikel (Tzeitel understudy), and Off-Broadway in Fiorello (Marie) and The Rose Ta
ttoo (Flora). Among my many regional credits are Oliver at the Chiswick Park Theater in Sudbury, MA (Nancy), Camelot with Noel Harrison at the North Shore Music Theater in Beverly, MA (Nimue/Guinevere understudy), and Is There Life After High School with Desi Arnaz, Jr. and Sharon Lawrence at the Burt Reynolds Theater in Jupiter, FL. I currently hold the post of Soloist at First Church of Christ, Scientist, Needham, and am a Guest Soloist for The Mother Church in Boston. Mia is an absolutely outstanding teacher. I came in for my first lesson horrified to sing, not knowing anything about performing. And in just a few months of learning with Mia I was cast in my first show. Fast forward a few more months and I have been accepted to the college of my choice in their Musical Theater program. In just a year she has helped me achieve my goals that seemed so out of this world to me in the beginning but now are a reality. She is not only amazing at the technical stuff, but she is so genuinely invested in helping you be the best that you can be. She changed my life and I'm so grateful to her.

About Daniel
I'm a gigging musician and teacher who graduated from Oberlin College in May 2015 with a degree in Musical Studies and Physics. I was on the Division III tennis team there for two years as well. I pride myself on patience and empathy no matter what I teach, whether it feeling the pulse of a complicated drum groove or solving a challenging physics word problem. For music lessons, I strive to bring in a context of genre fluidity and history, so that a student knows where and what to explore on their own even when I am not in the room to show them. Overall, my teaching is all about inspiring students to do well and make their strengths work for them, rather than dryly coming up with the "right answer" or playing a tune the "right way" to get from point A to point B.

Nick is my husband and we met through our mutual love of music! He is truly a wonderful and talented man that has a caring heart for those who want to learn . I admire most the fact that he is truly a stand alone talent in his family being the only musician and is completely self taught. As a singer myself that has come down from a long family history of music, I have a true respect for someone disciplined and passionate enough to teach himself what we both love so much. I know that he will be an excellwnt teacher and you won't regret your choice. :)

Music has always been a passion of mine since I was a young girl. I was born in Bronx, New York and raised in Stone Mountain, Georgia. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from South Carolina State University in Music. I was in many ensembles from elementary school through college. I participated in Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Quartets, Choir, Show Choir, and so many more. My experience in Music is very profound. However, I enjoy teaching it. I love watching someone light up when they learn something new or achieve something they thought they could not achieve. My main instruments are my voice and trombone, however, along the years I picked up and continue to master them on my own. I am proficient in flute, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, piano, and acoustic guitar. t is very easy for me to do that. I absolutely
love teaching. I believe in my students and do not stop motivating them through my education. I am a very patient, energetic, and understand person not only in the classroom but in general. I make music fun, yet very understandable.
