About Cindy
I've been teaching piano since 1988. Upon relocating from Arizona to Georgia I began teaching piano via Skype in order for my students to continue long distance. I enjoy teaching reading foundation skills in order to give students the tools to play whichever genre they love.
The course for online study is Piano Pronto. This course is thorough yet laid out so well that success is easy. While you're learning basic reading skills you are also enjoying fun and motivational music tunes. The music is easily purchased for immediate download so you can have it for your first lesson!

I always say it takes a special person to work with kids, especially more than one at a time! Cindy is just that kind of person, giving not only the gift of music, but also her love and attention. You can really tell that she cares about each individual child and understands what they need to get to the next level. The group classes she teaches combine the perfect amount of structure and fun, which really helps the kids stay motivated and excited to come back and learn more. I can't think of anything negative to say about this teacher - any child would be blessed to learn from her!

Ms. Cindy is an amazing teacher. Patient, thoughtful and incredibly talented not only at playing the piano but also in the way she teaches and presents material. I had such a good time and I learned so much in her class. I can't wait to see what's next.

Geof has been playing keyboar for Vokab Kompany since 2008. He not only plays keys, but writes and teaches drums at a middle school (and often writes those parts for our band as well). He also writes vocal harmonies, basslines and runs our practices. He arranges our songs and implements complicated key changes, as well as simple solutions to bridge sections that need work. He is a masterful guitar player. Geoff has played: xylaphone, guitar, drums, keys and bass at our live shows. We have played over 500 shows as a band, and while other members rotate, Geoff is the irriplaceable key to our machine. His studio work completes his already steller resume, as a master of Pro-Tools and upper level understanding of the popular writing software ABLETON Live.

Geoff is an outstanding musician. He has accompanied my flute students on the piano for many years. His musicianship, and ability to share it with students of all ages, is the gold standard of excellence. He is professional, patient, engaging, and kind, and he always brings out the best in my students, whether it is at festival, recital, or auditioning for colleges. When someone's looking for a piano teacher, I always recommend Geoff.

About Danielle
Hello! My name is Danielle and I'm a classical strings teacher (don't worry - I teach the fun stuff too!). I've been playing violin since age 5, viola since age 13, and 'cello since age 18. I have Bachelors Degrees in Violin Performance and Music Education from James Madison University, and I play both Violin and Viola in Symphonicity, the volunteer orchestra in Virginia Beach.

I've taught everything from private lessons to private school to public school and am a truly passionate teacher. I currently teach general music, choir and strings at an elementary school but I love to fill my nights/weekends with private students - that's where the real fun is!

I've taught ages 4-44 and all skill levels. I take particular pride in developing technique and fundamental skills while keeping lessons light hearted and fun! It is my ultimate goal
to spark a love and passion for music in each of my students.

I always encourage students to explore music on their own and bring me repertoire that they'd like to play (from their favorite movies, TV shows, video games, etc.). Those are a great and engaging supplement to the solo repertoire I choose!

Send me a message to get to know more about me and my teaching. I look forward to hearing from you!
Musically,
Danielle

I'm an active and incredibly experienced musician who loves to teach one-on-one. When we work together, we'll come up with a syllabus customized for your particular learning needs. You'll learn music through analysis, ear-training, technique, repertoire, improvisation, and much more.

If you want a thorough background in playing guitar, bass, drums, voice, or piano, I am a skilled multi-instrumentalist with many years of experience performing and recording. If you want to learn music theory and songwriting, I'll give you a practical background given my academic studies in these fields. Finally, if you want to be able to record your performances and produce original music, I'm a well-trained audio engineer.

What I've helped my students with:
• Increasing their abilities as an instrumentalist in solo performances, group performances
, and recording situations.
• Learning all styles of guitar, bass, drums, composition, and music theory.
• Becoming fluent in the use of music recording software and online communication tools.

You'll always have a friendly and dedicated guide to help you with whatever you're working on. Please get in touch with me and we can get started on your goals right away! Thanks!

I just wanted to take a minute and thank you so much for all you have taught Theresa. She has come so far in the last year. She has always been shy and very quiet but I have to tell you that we have noticed her really coming out of her shell. I owe this all to you! She feels confident enough in her playing her guitar that she has played for her class in school and now her very first recital will be this evening. I never really thought she would be comfortable playing for anyone. You are an amazing person with many talents. We are all looking forward to the show tonight!

My lessons with Dave were an integral part of my growth and creative development as a musician and a composer. I had just started taking composition lessons and after assessing my talent and style my first teacher almost right away transferred me over to be taught by Dave. These lessons not only intensely modified my compositions specifically, but it generally taught me how to explore my own thought process to bring forth my true intentions in all of my music. No idea was ever too small or too large. My lessons with Dave helped me to understand my own musicality and brought me success in effectively communicating my music with others. Above all, Dave is amiable, dedicated, informative and caring. When understanding that these qualities are paired with his musicianship and instruction, you’d be hard pressed to find an equal.

About Jake
Music fills virtually my entire life. When I was 12 years old I picked up my dad's old guitar, played a few chords, and haven't put it down since.

I am currently studying Composition at Macalester College, but my experience goes far beyond the classroom. I sing in the advanced Concert Choir, as well as in Macalester's premier acapella group, and I am the frontman of a locally prominent band. I have been performing since I was 14, and have opened for several noteworthy artists, including Lion Babe, Lil' Dickie and T-Pain.

With me, students can expect to not only learn the guitar but also invaluable performance techniques, music theory, music history and more. Whatever your musical goals, be it acoustic songwriting like Taylor Swift or Ed Sheeran, shredding guitar solos like Jimi Hendrix or Joan Jett, or intricate rhythmic strummings li
ke John Frusciante or Nancy Wilson, I am determined to help you succeed.

I took lessons with Jake for several months before he had to attend college and I learned various songs at a level that was pretty advanced. He was very patient and it was a great way to get going on the instrument and learn a bit of music theory. Being able to play songs I liked was encouraging and while I'm still taking lessons online, I think the chops I learned with Jake have helped me tackle new songs by myself. Thanks so much!!

About Kevin
I am a composer, lyricist, and multi-instrumentalist. I have over 15 years of music study under my belt, and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a minor in music in 2010. I not only have extensive music theory knowledge, but also experience playing clarinet, saxophone, flute, banjo, and guitar.

I believe that a strong foundation in music theory is the most essential skill to have when learning a new instrument, or becoming proficient in an old one. Recently I co-wrote an original musical comedy about Lewis and Clark, which I also composed all of the music for. The 120 page score was written for piano and vocals, despite the fact that I do not play the piano. How was I able to write music for an instrument I do not play? By understanding the basic rules and concepts of music theory!

I am also a comedy writer an
