Regina D.

O Fallon, MO

About Regina

Regina had been playing the piano since age 5 and the trumpet since age 12. She began learning each by reading notes and later learned to play by ear. She was pianist for the Gateway College of Evangelism Chorale (where she majored in Church Music ) during her first year and played trumpet for the chorale in her second year and throughout both years summer tour. Currently she is the pianist/drummer/bassist for The Outpost Church in St. Charles, MO.

Regina has been acting for the past 15 years. She has been a part of 15 community theater plays, was a supporting character in 2 seasons of
the web series "Completing Kaden" produced by Real Bean Entertainment and was an extra in a movie that aired on ABC.

Lessons will be fun and informative. I believe that people learn faster and more completely when they are enjoying themselves.

They will need an instrument (to practice on) and they will need to purchase the materials (I will buy them and they purchase from me).

Becky D.

Saint Peters, MO

About Becky

Hi!

I'm a certified teacher and private tutor based in the St. Louis, MO area. I work one-to-one in a face-to-face format for students in the St. Louis, MO area and online one-to-one for students outside St. Louis. My personal goal is to foster academic success in the student in your life. In addition, I strive to teach the necessary skills for every one of my students to become independent learners.

I first began tutoring music while in college and gradually shifted my focus to academic tutoring. I considered myself a teacher since my first part‑time job as a swim instructor.

From
reading comprehension and algebra to study skills and English, my mission is to tutor students who have fallen through the cracks in our educational system. Meeting my clients’ specialized needs is an essential part of each lesson I create.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education (emphasis on reading and reading comprehension) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. My teaching experience includes 32 years of tutoring, 10 years in the public school system teaching first grade, 10 years in both the public school system and private schools teaching music and 1 year at Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) teaching basic computer use.

Daniela K.

Saint Louis, MO

About Daniela

Hi ! My name is Daniela and I can't wait to meet you!
I have been teaching piano and theory since 1994 and have loved helping my students discover the beautiful world of music. Seeing my students grow into well rounded and educated people that love art, are able to recognize different styles of music, express their feelings and emotions on this wonderful instrument makes me really happy. My students range from people who simply want to learn how to play proficiently as a hobby to students who are considering making music their future career.
I strongly believe that a chance to go on a
big stage and play on a great Steinway piano in front of people, makes a big difference in children's lives: teaches them self control, gives them great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. Taking part in festivals and piano competitions helps with building high self esteem even more.
I look forward to helping you and your children to reach your goals!

Excellent teacher and extremely knowledgeable. She seeks to understand your goals and then tailors the courses around them. This to me is what separates her from the pack. I can't imagine finding a better teacher

As an adult piano student, I appreciate Daniela's attention to detail in helping me learn theory in each lesson. She is patient and makes every lesson fun. I have learned more from her in 2 months than in my previous whole year of taking lessons!

At the age of 58 I decided to start taking violin lessons for 2 reasons, enjoyment of playing music and exercise my brain. I found Lucy K on the takelessons.com website and she was able to accommodate my request for lessons in my home on a Sunday. Starting from scratch, she taught me the fundamentals of playing and I have made some progress over the last 8 months. She is patient with me yet will push me along and at time bring me out of my comfort zone, which is good. She has the ability and training to teach students from early age to older adults like me. In addition, she also teaches piano, which my wife started lessons with Lucy K at the same time I started violin. She has my recommendation if you have interest in either violin or piano.

How to Be a Singer: Finding Gigs as a Backup Vocalist

Backup singing is a crucial part of great albums and concerts. While it may seem that the lead singer has a tough job, it's easy to forget how challenging it is to seamlessly weave complex harmonies into an overall melody, all without taking over the spotlight. If you’re a singer who doesn’t necessarily want to take center stage, consider a career as a backup singer. The 10 Best Guitar Soloists of All Time
As with any top 10 list, ranking the best guitar soloists is not an easy feat. Guitar solos are incredibly subjective, and what pleases one fan might make someone else plug their ears. My list is based on years of listening to and loving classic rock, indie music, and pop. If there's anyone I left out or anything you would change, I hope you'll let me know in the comments. 10. 8-Year-Old Girl is Gnarliest Guitar Shredder Ever
I'm willing to bet that "playing like a girl" will stop being an insult within this little lady's lifetime! At just 8 years old, Lisa-X is able to play rapid fire metal solos that will melt your face off and blow your mind. She's smaller than her guitar, but she sure knows how to make it sound big and mighty. Plus, the sweet grin she gives the camera as she's bending a note around 1:46? Priceless! Child prodigies like Lisa are absolutely amazing, but there's really no wrong age to star

How to Write Lyrics: Steps to Success for Any Musical Style
Interested in learning how to write lyrics and songs? Here, New Jersey guitar teacher Matthew H. explains an easy 3-step process to follow...  Songwriting is not easy; just ask any composer or lyricist. While the musical composition is highly important (making sure the melody is catchy without sounding too trite), having a strong, relatable message to go along with a great tune is just as, if not more, important. Here are some tips on how to write lyrics for a good song. 1) What is the
