I'm a violinist with 10 years of teaching experience. I am working with students of all ages/ levels. I believe that teacher should help a student to reveal and develop his/her personality through the music, so the lessons are adjusted for each student's needs individually. At the same time, the basis is a professional approach with detailed instructions.

About Tatiana

I am a professional violinist, member of several orchestras in Michigan. I studied at St. Petersburg Conservatory and also have a Doctorate degree in violin performance from Michigan State University. Tatiana is an excellent instructor and I am a 68 yr old violin hobbyist who is trying to learn classical music and folk music to eventually become a part time teacher myself. She is very patient and pleasant and I am a former teacher myself in grades 5 - 9. I believe she would be good for any age(s) ! She is great with technique and knowing what the student wants to accomplish and is interested in with their musical interests She is just a very pleasant person to know and get guidance musically from! I recommend her highly!

If I were to say 15 years on the violin, that would be a shocking time. I did earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Music where I received most of my education in both violin and piano. In my perspective, the violin is such an intricate instrument and I am blessed to work with students in wanting to learn violin. It’s true where putting the hard work in violin takes you where you need to be. It does require Practice! I am willing to work with the student and help them grow in advancing this instrument. Let’s keep in touch!

Music Lessons should be fun!
Finding the right Piano or Voice Instructor will shape the way a student feels about music. When we make music we share a vulnerable and very unique part of ourselves. As a teacher, I strive to encourage, inspire and create an atmosphere for learning that is uniquely different for each of my students. My teaching style focuses on important skills but also emphasizes self-exploration and perhaps discovering a passion for something new. Take a look at the lessons I provide and choose the right one for you.

"Laurel taught my kids piano lessons for several years. When she moved away, she proved impossible to replace! She really cared about the kids' learning. For example, when my son seemed to connect better with the process and logic behind the music, she got him started composing his own!
