The act of singing changes the chemistry of our bodies! A team of German scientists have found that vocalizing spurs the production of oxytocin, a hormone commonly referred to as the "love" molecule. Oxytocin is known to heighten happiness, well-being, trust and reduce stress and anxiety. We will practice breathing exercises (pranayama) to increase breath capacity and control. You will learn techniques to smooth the break (passagio) to sing with a connected tone. You will know how to engage the "yawning" muscles (soft palate, mylohyoid, sternohyoid, thyrohyoid) to maximize resonance. We will practice exercises to relax the tongue and jaw to project high notes effortlessly. Developing "middle voice" will extend our vocal range and eliminate strain and fatigue. We will choose repertoire that highlights your vocal strengths and discuss stage presence and expression through song. I highly recommend "The New Voice" by Alan Greene.

Molly is dedicated to helping new and current students grow to the best of their abilities. She has helped me grow in all aspects of my voice, including breathing and diction. My voice is much stronger and fuller thanks to her teaching. I also love having voice lessons over FaceTime from the comfort of my own home. I would highly recommend her!"

I've been both a voice student and musical colleague of Wendy's for four years. Throughout our mutual experiences and projects, her warmth and integrity have led me to trust her without reservations.
As a student, she quickly identified root-cause problem areas with my singing and prescribed easy exercises that showed results in very short order. Her teaching style is holistic, addressing both physical and psychological aspects of singing and performance.
As a colleague in a band and numerous musical projects, I've found her to be consistently reliable and caring, as well as a supremely talented performer and songwriter.
If you care about improving your vocal and performance abilities, and want to work with someone who appreciates your unique nature as a person and singer, Wendy is the vocal instructor for you."

No mic? No problem! Sing loud and proud with these voice projection tips from Broken Arrow, OK voice teacher Adia P... Growing up on the stages of community theater, I probably heard "Project your voice!" more than "Curtain!" or "Break a Leg!" It's a little intimidating at first, but between nonstop practices and a healthy fear that all my hard work would be wasted if no one could hear my lines, I was projecting like a pro in no time. It may sound complicated, but projecting your …
