About David
I teach Pop, rock, blues, and metal. I was taught for about 10 years on acoustic/electric and have had 5years doing private vocal lessons. After that I started teaching myself Guitar, Bass, and piano. I started playing for about five years touring and have taught in churches and learning centers. I also have a band and play lead guitar at a venue every Saturday night. I benefit from teaching when I see the student gets it and the accomplishment is what makes me speechless to the impact I have made or whatever impact there is to come! Also, feel free to check out my band at www.deardestinymusic
.com

*** Lesson Details ***
Students cant expect a laid back atmosphere with zero pressure. Learning guitar, like any other hobby or anything you wish to learn, requires dedication and love for the craft. Anyone can play any instrument they put their mind to, all they have to do is love it and enjoy the feeling of making music.

The Curriculum I use is Mel Bay's Guitar Method. It's the book I used when I was first learning and it set a firm foundation on which I have learned to build on and improve.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Digitech GNX 3000 Pedal board
Line 6 UX2 Interface
Schecter Damien Elite Solo 6
Ibanez S1170
Line 6 212
Kustom 412 Head and Half Stack

*** Travel Equipment ***
A guitar, I expect the students to have a tuner or get a guitar in time.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in legato, alternate picking, sweep picking, economic picking and basically all methods of playing lead guitar. But I do start off by teaching acoustic and rhythm guitar

About Yegues
I am currently the guitar teacher at Ocoee High School.

I have a degree in Music Education and Flute Performance from Florida State University. Flute was my primary instrument throughout high school and college, but guitar is now my main focus. I have given multiple lessons and master classes on both flute and guitar. I have also been a music theory tutor for many students. I have a lot of experience with both giving and receiving lessons, so I have learned many ways to adapt to any situation.

I love laughing and making jokes, which is one of the most important aspects of any teacher. Le
ssons should be something to look forward to rather than dreading to spend time practicing. I do prefer being more laid back as a teacher, but still know when it's time to get more serious about the work.

*** Lesson Details ***
I am laid back most of the time time, but I still expect whatever we assigned to be practiced for the next/current lesson. I will expect some form of technique exercise to be played as a warm up to each lesson as well as non-instrumental warm-ups like breathing. As a student, you can choose repertoire to work on, or I can provide music and etudes depending on the skill level. I can provide any supplementary materials as needed.

Music lessons - Flute and guitar are the two instruments I play at a professional level, however, I am able to play and have a solid understanding of most instruments.

Math lessons - My experience ranges from elementary to college as far as giving lessons. I come into lessons prepared, and will know most of the subject matter presented, and if not, I am a quick learner and am able to understand material presented very quickly.

About Natalie
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, at the age of 9, Natalie knew music was something that was just a part of who she was. Writing songs on the piano before lessons could be scheduled, Natalie found herself immersed in a medium that would bring her joy for the rest of her life.

By age 14 Natalie had won several trophies competing in Classical piano with the Illinois Music Association.

As an adult, she would go on to fill her life with the world of music as a singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist.

Graduating from Elmhurst College (1997) with a Bachelor's in M
usic, Natalie received high accolades earning a membership in the Lambda Sigma Psi Music Honor Society.

During her college years, Natalie created and owned a local music publication called, "The Local Buzz". At this moment she had discovered her desire to teach. "I just wanted everyone I knew in music to know and use what I was learning, or had learned from the music classes, professionals I had been meeting and working with, and my overall music life experiences". By 1997, Natalie was signed to an independent label and embarked on a new adventure.

"Music is an adventure, but without the foundation and passion I had as a child, I would have never landed where I did. I truly LOVE to teach and share what I know about piano, and the world of music. Music is what I know, and know best. Helping to create a solid foundation and build confidence in someone embarking on a journey in music is the most rewarding profession I have ever had the honor of participating in."

*** Lesson Details ***
Natalie enjoys teaching students of any age, but specializes in piano, voice and beginning guitar, tailoring lessons to each individual's goals and reasons for learning whether it be for personal pleasure or professional performance.

Keeping things lighthearted and fun, Natalie breathes confidence into each student using her sense of humor, and down-to-earth personality.

Feeding off 40 years of personal and professional experiences, Natalie patiently listens to the student's desires, needs and notates their learning patterns, allowing for growth at their own pace.

Natalie's goal is to Make Music Matter to you and create a foundation that will allow you to continue to find joy in making music for the rest of your life.

Natalie was excellent. I learned quite a bit in the limited time we had. Natalie was able to assess my needs and point me in the right direction to meet those goals. She is very encouraging and patient. I'm looking forward to our next lesson and those that follow!

About Cara
Making music and Teaching music has always been a huge part of my life! Music has brought such joy to my personal life and the lives of my students and their friends and family. I teach music because it is such a wonderful experience for everyone involved from the practice room to the performance. I hold a Degree in Music Education from Kent State Univ. I have conducted both chorus and orchestra, established small singing groups and founded the Strings of Gold. I promised my own children that music would bring adventures, and they are all performing throughout the world today. Many of my priv
ate students experience new friendships at music camps, orchestras, bands, churches, and find a wonderful purpose in school through their participation in music programs. Many of my adult students have enjoyed the accomplishment of playing an instrument and sharing their music with friends and family. I am excited that you are interested in taking music lessons! I look forward to sharing your musical adventure .

Cara is the best music teacher we've ever met. My daughter Amanda (now 6 years old) started learning piano from her 8 months ago. Before that Amanda learned piano for 1 year but didn't have good progress. Now, Not only can Amanda play piano very well, but also she can play violin well for 5 variations of Twinkle Twinkle, after only 9 violin classes from Cara. The most important thing is: Amanda is falling love with the music, which I believe will benefit her whole life. In our opinion, experience, fun, discipline and child-centered are the key to Cara's teaching success. We have met with her husband (a retired band director), and two daughters (both professional violinists), we can feel their love to the music and really admire their music skill.

Our friends thought we were crazy when they knew the fact that we need to drive 60 minutes single trip to take the weekly lesson, but after they see Amanda playing piano and violin, they think it well deserves it.

Cara is the best music teacher for kids in Metro-Orlando area. If you want your kid to fall in love with music, she is your best choice. Go Cara!

Cara is an absolutely amazing instructor! As an 'older' beginning student, I was treated with kindness and sincerity. Her patience with my ineptitude made me feel like a pro, rather than a beginner. She was able to listen to what I wished to accomplish and in a few short months, she delivered just that and more. Thank you, Cara!
