Missy is a great teacher!

Missy has been very helpful, and I started seeing almost immediate improvement in my vocal range, which ultimately led to greater confidence. She is fun to work with and talk to. She not only gives vocal exercises and tricks, but explains the reasons for doing them, how they're going to help. I reccomend her as highly as possible!!!

Great teacher for multiple instruments

This instructor has a solid foundation in music theory which can help students of all skill levels and instrument choice...including voice. I have already benefited from her expertise on both piano and voice as instruments, as well as general music concepts like voice leading, use of scale, tonal variation and dynamic. Very easy to understand and work with. I have no reservations about recommending this instructor.

great local talent

Missy is very professional and provides some interesting pointers, (HeHe), not laughing. I expect to gain much ability from her input. I am a beginner singer, but elderly. I believe Missy will be able to extend my vocal range. I entered a singing contest last year for the first time and this is why I have chosen to get some lessons. See you on the Ryman stage in the latter part of this year.

"Awesome" Teacher

Dani taught my 10-year-old daughter piano for 2 years. She supremely professional, thorough, and most importantly fun. My daughter couldn't wait for her weekly lessons. As she says, Dani is "awesome." Dani was able to deftly make the lessons educational but also lively. My daughter still loves to play, practices without being asked, and reads music well. I credit that to Dani's focus, patience and enthusiasm. She always showed up smiling, and to my daughter's delight also had stickers for her lesson book after each class. I cannot recommend her enough, and am sad that we don't live in the same city so my daughter can continue her lessons with her. A wonderful teacher.

Jerry has been great with my 9-year-old daughter. She is a beginner, and he has gone at her pace, and been encouraging without over-praising her. He is playful and friendly, and is consistently on time.

I am so glad to be able to leave a comment about Jerry S. I can't believe that we could be this blessed to find a teacher such as Jerry S.! we have been more than impressed. Thanks TakeLessons! You guys matched us up perfect! He has been on time for every lesson and gets right into the lesson with a joyful smile, making the girls feel very comfortable while they learn. Jerry is an inspiration to both my girls. He is an incredible teacher! I took lessons for 8 years and never looked forward to practicing or seeing my piano teacher like my girls do with Jerry. This means a lot to me as a parent who wants to see their children actually enjoy learning an instrument, and because of him....they really enjoy it more than they even did before. Getting them to practice now is not even a problem. This alone says a lot. He is very patient and kind. Best of all....Jerry is making piano fun for my girls while not missing any of the fundamentals of the piano. Oh! Even though he is humble...The man can play! You should hear him! Wow!Way to go TakeLessons! Thank you very much!

Julie is the BEST!! I took lessons as a child, but had not taken any lessons in over 10 years when I first began lessons with Julie. Almost immediately she was able to help me recall everything I had learned when I was younger. Very knowledgeable and encouraging, makes each lesson a joy! Highly recommended for those who are serious about learning the piano (or anything else I'm sure!).

Great Motavator!!

Julie is our first experience with a piano teacher. She has been instructing my somewhat shy 6 year old for about 9 months now. She is amazing with my daughter. She is very encouraging and stays right on her level while pushing her to expand her knowledge in music. I couldn't be more pleased in our first experience. Julie even had my daughter performing in front of an audience just 4 months after her first lesson. A memory my child will have forever.

wonderful

Erica has been a great voice teacher for my daughter. My daughter has only been taking lessons since July and she has come a long way & really enjoys Erica & her lessons. Erica encouraged her to sing a solo in the Christmas Recital recently & over time, my daughter, felt confident enough to perform and she performed wonderfully. Erica has also been very flexible at switching our lesson days b/c my daughter is also involved in sports and have had many scheduling conflicts.
