Neil is a great piano teacher. I took many years of lessons growing up and then stopped playing the piano for 10 years. I picked it up a year ago learning new pieces and hit a "wall" where I wasn't able to improve myself, so I wanted to find a teacher that could help. Neil has been great - proactively pointing out areas where I tense up or could use a different fingering, suggesting helpful sight reading pieces, and even helping me find a better keyboard for my own practice at home. He has a lot of experience and good advice.

I have the highest praise for Neil. I am an adult, and I studied for nine years as a child and started studying again about ten years ago and have studied with several teachers during that time. I work on some difficult pieces, and Neil can always explain to me how to play the passages I am having trouble with and make it seem easy. Also, he can demonstrate for me how something should be played because he is such an excellent pianist. I am so happy I found Neil, and highly recommend him.

I cater to the unique musical likeliness of the student. If they're into learning with books and conservative learning, I'll approach it as such. If they want to play pop music, I'll make sure they learn towards that direction.

About Tran

Every person in this world deserves to play the music they love. It shouldn't be hard to find someone passionate to teach it without having to pay an absurd amount. If you believe that music is the cornerstone to every person's well-being, you've come to the right place.

Hello! Does music play an important role in your everyday life? If yes, then you and I already share similar beliefs. Music is not only life changing, but can be life saving as well.

I first started playing guitar when I was 10 years old (15+ years of playing experience). I first started teaching guitar lessons/helping others master this beautiful instrument when I was 15 years old (10+ years of teaching experience). My goal when it comes to teaching my students is very simple, to achieve greatness over time, having fun doing so, while doing what we both love to do (teaching and playing). Whether it is learning basic chords, teaching you your favorite songs, mastering the art of fingerpicking, songwriting... etc, I am here to teach it all.

I pride myself in being very patient, outgoing, optimistic, & caring when it comes to my students. It's an absolute pleasure to be able to teach everyday, and I look forward to having the pleasure of hopefully teaching YOU!

I like to show my students how the guitar can be a small orchestra. The possibilities of sounds and colors that it can provide is unknown to other instruments and that is what makes it so great. Unlike the piano where a small hammer hits the strings or the violin where the bow frictions them, we have to produce the entire sound on the guitar with our own hands. The process is more personal and, even though it can be harsh at times, it is always satisfying. I also try to bring a more creative part of music when studying the instrument, which keeps classes more dynamic and interesting. I bring my own experiences so that the students can relate in different levels of difficulty.

About Hugo

I'm a professional guitarist, composer and arranger. I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Diploma in Professional Music. I started playing electric guitar and then expanded also to the classical guitar, which has broaden extensively my approach to different styles of music. Each style

"Cyndi is phenomenal !!!! Her kind, pleasant, encouraging, sweet voice makes her very easy to work with. I have taken 5 lessons with her so far, she has enabled me to do things with my voice that I did't think I would be able to do. Working with Cyndi has re-built my confidence, I've learned to dissect songs in groups and use my listening hear, work my diaphragm to enhance my tone and strength. I couldn't be happier. Thank you so very much. I love you to the moon and back."

"Fabulous cello teacher!!! We are so pleased that our daughter is taking lessons from Arlette. When our daughter wanted to learn cello (2 years ago), Arlette came highly recommended. We were not disappointed! Arlette teaches all aspects of playing the cello, including music theory, and developing musically. She's passionate, caring, patient every step of the way, inspirational, and makes it so much fun!--consequently, my girl recently auditioned and was accepted to play in a high school orchestra (she's a middle school student). She loves playing cello!"

Is Piano the BEST Instrument to Play? Sound Off!

We came across this interesting article from MyDreamTeacher.com and just had to share!  Here's a taste of the reasons the author thinks the piano is the best instrument out there: 1) It has more notes. The piano keyboard represents every note available on other instruments.  There is no instrument that has a note that the piano does not have.  This reason alone gives a strong case for everyone to play piano. 2) What you hit is what you get. The piano produces the most immediate results …
