There are talented musicians but it's more myth than truth. We musician learned how to play not born with it, at least I did.
You could learn to hear what note or chord your favorite musician is playing; Why and how they are playing. It's time to bust myth and solve the mystery of music. Take lessons with me.

This was only my first less with Johan -- it was such fun, I felt so encouraged and can't wait for my next. He's just terrific! Very kind and clear and again - the key word - encouraging! A great teacher!

Johan is great with kids! My son is a very active child, and he was able to make the lesson fun and engaging. More than that, I enjoyed seeing Johan be creative, listen to the child, and make music fun, more than being it a lesson (per say). I highly recommend Johan!

My teaching style is very flexible & hands on. My goal is to make beautiful music and I do this by taking technical exercises and giving them musical meaning. This means I focus on the ideas of time, vocabulary & dynamic playings, but within this still teaching essential technical exercises in order to create a well-rounded musician.

After each lesson I will email detailed notes, as well as any supplemental documents and/or music.

About Ross

A Berklee College of Music graduate, I am an internationally recognized drummer & capable of teaching a wide range of genres from jazz to pop. I’m a prominent teacher & performer in the Los Angeles area, having working with artists such as Skylar Grey, Katelyn Tarver, Ethan Bortnick and many more
