Sylvia is very good at taking the time to explain the reasons behind the why of doing certain things. Being an adult with no musical background what so ever she has really taken the time to teach me some basic fundamentals that are helping me build the solid foundation that I so very much want and need. Beyond the time we spend with one-on-one instructions she challenges me with exercises to practice on between our meetings. I explained to Sylvia what I was looking for and she has centered the training and instructions around that to ensure that my goals are being met. She is a pleasure to work with and learn from.

Lessons will be based on what YOU want to learn! Together, we will articulate these goals and create a curriculum to achieve them. Lessons and practicing should be fun, and my experience of teaching many many different students taught me that structured and goal oriented practice is necessary in order to play the music you want to learn.
Your part is to bring up this effort and practice regularly.
My part is to help you learn HOW to practice and master the instrument with proper technique.

I have been passionately teaching guitar for more than 10 years and have been working as a Teaching Assistant in Classical Guitar at USC for the past three years. Before coming to the US in 2013, I taught individual and group guitar lessons at several music schools in Germany. I have extensive

Ines has been a great teacher throughout college. Her emphasis on technique has greatly influenced how I approach guitar playing. Also, she taught me how important one's guitar tone is when playing a song the way the composer intended it to be played. It is very clear that I have improved as a guitar player while being her student and my guitar repertoire has expanded beyond just classical music.

Ines is an inspiring teacher for our nine-year old daughter. She is firm but flexible, patient, and a wonderful role model. Her breadth of performing and teaching experience allows her to choose repertory that is varied, fun, and challenging. Our daughter is always excited to have lessons with her.

Our first lesson with Mallory was wonderful. We were looking for a music coach for our 11 year old, who has interests in vocals, guitar, and writing pop songs. Mallory has skills in all these areas, and did a fantastic job listening to our son’s goals, dividing the 1st lesson into manageable chunks, and keeping things fun for a tween. And my son was blown away by Mallory’s fluency in pop music!!
Marti
Mallory is great- patient and explains things in a super easy way to understand and process.

I’ve been taking online lessons from Connie for 6 months now and couldn’t be happier. She helped me develop a good foundation and has been so encouraging along the way! I love that she pays attention to detail and goes out of her way to write weekly lesson notes, make recordings for me, adds in music theory and is helping me towards my first exam. Connie’s passion for music and teaching is evident and I’m thankful I found her online!
Mona
My son has been taking lessons from Connie and we love having her as his teacher! She helps him with his confidence playing solo and also working through school orchestra music... he’s now one of the more advanced in his group! Connie focuses on the details to set up a good foundation and has been great helping him with some bad habits he devolved years ago. She has lots of experience with every age group and teaches all the way through very advanced level. Thankful she came recommended to us!

"Stephanie is an absolutely fantastic teacher! For one, she knows her stuff, having studied music for as long as she has. One of the best things I like about her teaching style, is that she has the innate ability to relate and connect with her students. She finds a way to incorporate the fundamentals of lessons all while having a complete understanding of how to teach the individual on a personal level. Her lessons excite me, frustrate me (you’re only growing if you’re being challenged), encourage me, and have me improving each and every time. I would STRONGLY recommend her to anyone who is looking to improve their abilities and achieve their goals, no matter what level of talent you may have."

"Mr. Farobag provides piano lessons for my teenage daughter. She has been working with him for about 10 months. Since she started working with Farobag, her love for playing piano has grown, and her skills have improved exponentially. In addition to his obvious talents, he is professional, patient, and also very flexible with scheduling. He has a genuine interest in seeing his students learn and improve. I would highly recommend him for anyone interested in taking lessons. He also has a strong background in math, and has offered to tutor my 3 children, if needed. We may be calling upon him soon for that!"
