As a cellist with 18 years of playing experience and 5+ years of teaching I have learned that music can change your life at any age and even can help you heal from whatever struggles life throws at you. Music and learning an instrument can improve your brain functions in a way that no other activity can accomplish. I am so passionate about teaching and customize my teaching style to each student individually because the same approach does not work for everyone. I strongly believe in that and try to get to know my students, who they are, what their strengths and weaknesses are and how I can help to overcome those. I get very involved with my students and build a personal relationship with each one of them to further help them with cello. I've had some wonderful instructors myself including Amir Eldan and Hans Jensen who taught me not only how to play the instrument itself but also how to use those skills that come with being a musician in life.
In my lessons I focus on ...

I love teaching people how to play songs they enjoy! I'm not too focused on music theory, but am more interested on giving you the tools to play your favorite songs! Playing guitar doesn't have to be difficult or boring. Whether you want to play the Beatles on an acoustic guitar, learn your favorite Metallica riffs or even learn the basics to play at church...I'm your teacher!

Using your ear is the bread and butter of learning music. I can teach you how to identify intervals by listening to the distinct characters of harmonic interactions. From there we can progress onto identifying different qualities of chords and harmonic progressions.
I have been playing music professionally for 10+ years but I also have a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Temple University. My background in a psychology discipline allows me to have a better understanding of the mechanisms of learning, specifically related to music. Learning takes place

Jill Good is an amazing music teacher for all ages and can connect with any student on both an intellectual and personal level. I work for Gradoux-Matt Rare Violins LLC and can absolutely assure that the first music teacher we recommend is Jill Good. I've seen her students' recitals and have been astonished at the progress each student shows from one performance to the next.
I started playing the violin at age 4 and while I have loved all my teachers, I still wish I had someone as brilliant as Jill instructing me. For any age, Jill Good is perfection."
Now, it has been one month, and I enjoy his classes. His analogies and examples are an apt way of understanding the techniques of playing the violin. Though Dr. Dimitry is an advanced violinist, he is very patient with absolute beginners. To sum up, I would highly recommend him to people who are very serious and determined to learn and practice the violin."
Paolo is a remarkable teacher and coach. He is so knowledgeable and yet so kind and patient. He has the patience to work with all levels, I am very fortunate to have started working with him.
Now that we have Covid19 we are doing Zoom sessions and they are very successful. Before that we did coaching in Paolo's studio. If you want to learn without embarassment and learn so much work with Paolo Bartolani."
As you're learning how to be a better singer, proper posture is bound to come up! Who knew so much could be affected by the way you stand when you sing? Take a look at the basics in this infographic by Ann Arbor, MI voice teacher Elaina R... When you hear the word “posture,” what do you think of? A ballerina poised for action, or a military officer standing at attention, perhaps. Be warned: neither the ballerina nor the military officer has a good singer’s stance. The word “po …
