I am an adult absolute beginner, and Mary was a great help in figuring out the higher register, improving my tone and note clarity, and even diagnosing a bent key that was making it unplayable one lesson - all over a computer! I'm seriously impressed with what she can help with, even when she isn't there in person. :) Thanks Mary!
Martha P.
Mary was wonderful. I was apprehensive about my total ignorance of the instrument and my physical capacity to perform a task that involve the lungs. Since I am an old old lady this was a little challenging not only for me as a student, but also for a teacher. Experienced Mary knew how to inspire in me confidence. Her clear explanations gave me knowledge I needed, and little by little I became making the sounds that were so incredible amazing. Mary has a natural sweetness, a serenity that easily transmits determination, courage and faith. What a marvelous choice I made picking her as my instructor. I am optimist that one day I will play some of my favorites songs of my past happy days.
Laura
I have really enjoyed the lessons I got from Mary and learned a ton! I hadn't played clarinet for years but enjoyed starting to learn again and she helped make it a lot easier than just relearning on my own. I really recommend her as a teacher for any age student!

I am 12 years old and have been playing cello for 6 years. Caleb was my instructor at the Mark O'Connor string camp. The week before our lesson, he recorded an accompaniment for a piece we would be working on, and it was great to get a head start and to be able to play with him. We worked on bluegrass practicing techniques and improvising with blues scales. It was some super cool music and thanks to Caleb, my playing is improving!
Yutae(Albert)
Being my very first cello instructor, Caleb not only taught me how to play, but gave me a desire. Usually, the first experience determines the outcome of what happens, for example, if you never enjoy an instrument, it is inevitable that you would drop it quite soon. However, Caleb found me real enthusiasm and motivation. Even though I am no longer his student, I always look forward to hearing any news about him, from a simple hello to him posting a new video of his performances. Without someone like him, I probably would have had given up cello after my first year. He is the most enjoyable and helpful instructor so far.

Atmosphere is extremely inviting and she is very pleasant while also staying highly focused and on task. After taking some time off from singing, I was looking for someone who could get me back in shape vocally with a combination of classic training and some crossover to musical theatre. She fits the bill very well!"

"I took a lesson with Mr. Denton a few weeks ago and he helped me so much with my audition preparation. In the two hour lesson, we went through about 15 different pieces of varying style, and he was great in getting me to think about the different types of articulation and sound colors I should be using for each specific passage.

If I wasn't getting the right style, he would play that same passage, and I immediately knew what needed to be fixed on my end. He sang through the trumpet and it was a privilege to get to hear him play up close."

"My girls are always excited and looking forward to their weekly singing lesson. Chau teaches beautiful vocal technique in a way that my kids not only understand how sound is created but also where and how to use it. My girls know terms like diaphragm and larynx, where they are, what they do, and how to engage them. It takes an extremely gifted teacher with experience and passion to give a kid the confidence, education, and training that Chau can. She is so understanding, kind, and patient, not just with the girls but as a person. Having soccer seasons and karate competitions year round makes our schedule complicated but Chau can always find us a time slot! Highly, Highly, Recommended!!!!!"
