I am a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. I have been teaching professionally for 17 years
It is important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson.
I try to find out what student is interested in, and guide my instruction according to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level.

My approach is best defined with one word: natural. Everything about you is unique, including your voice. Imitating denies this simple fact. So I'm all about stripping away all imitation, getting you in touch with your voice and then making that signature voice of yours strong and flexible. Your voice should be as unique as you are. I work with all levels and if you don't like my lessons - I will give you your money back.

Being a live stage performer myself, I've been providing vocal teaching and coaching to many wonderful students. I have great success stories of my students performing on Broadway and Off Broadway Stages, NYC Concert Venues and NJ Theaters.

I believe everyone has the ability to sing … some better than others, of course, -- but regardless, I believe every voice can make a beautiful sound. I believe learning to sing requires team work: with the proper instruction and learning tools from me, the instructor, and with the dedication (practice, practice, practice) from you, the student, a well-rounded singer can emerge.

I began singing when I was five years old in church. I continued singing exclusively inspirational music until I was a teenager. At that time, in addition to the second soprano part I sang in a five-part harmony
a Capella (without instrumental accompaniment) Gospel group, I also sang in a couple of bands (Rhythm and Blues, and Jazz). My undergraduate studies were completed at the American University, where I majored in Communications (B.A.), and minored in Music, voice being my instrument.
